Our Story

Founded in 1986, the legendary West Hollywood Cheerleaders is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to ending HIV. During the early years of the AIDS crisis they brought joy and laughter to a time that was so dark and hopeless. As HIV treatments improved their mission evolved. To this day, WeHo Cheer remains committed to HIV prevention by creating a world without prejudice and judgment — one that’s built on the principles of love, kindness, understanding and inner beauty. This mission has strengthened their role in the community as they continue the fight against HIV stigma through education and empowerment.
