The Glowing Heart Society Executive Council, 12 Golden Council and GHS members met with Founder and Chairman, Buddy Reyes, for a very important meeting on Saturday, June 17, 2017, in Orem, Utah, to discuss various topics.
Buddy reminded members to “Shine Our Light. We all have the light. Each one of us as Christians, as members of the Church, and as Glowing Heart members, that our light should shine.“
He also spoke in detail about the GHS goals and plans and how they are progressing making a positive contribution to humanity. “We need to be prepared for what is coming soon,” he said.
Roy Ge**er, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reported on the GHS Veterans Programs, the Ruck March held in Ogden and announced that he was organizing a parade and a Ruck March in his town of Elk Ridge, Utah, held in June. He invited GHS members to participate.
Roy and his son, Ken, have also created a Pod Cast that will support the Veteran community by providing interviews with Veterans who have survived the challenges forced upon them by PTSD, Agent Orange and others. Any members who have survived themselves or have knowledge of a Veteran who has, please call and provide information so they can arrange an interview with them in person by e-mail at [email protected]
Farley Anderson, GHS Ark Director over Preparedness asked “What are we preparing for? Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment of things that we fail to look at the really big picture. I love preparedness because of my vision of where it ends and that is in the most glorious wonderful peaceful and blessed era the world has ever known. Preparedness is to get us there. I love to gather with like-minded people because that makes the journey worthwhile.”
He spoke in detail about the GHS goals and plans and how they are progressing making a positive contribution to humanity. “We need to be prepared for what is coming soon,” he said.
During the lunch break, members sang “Happy Birthday” to Buddy since it is his birthday on June 28.
In the afternoon training, Buddy continued talking about what topics members need to work on to prepare themselves for the future as GHS members, as individuals and for their family. A Question and Answer session was held afterward.

Recently the Glowing Heart Society 12 Golden Council met with Chairman and Founder, Norberto Buddy Reyes, to discuss the importance of strengthening the leaders and members in preparation as well as to outline goals for upcoming projects. As a result of that meeting, Roy Ge**er, Chief Executive Officer, was inspired to review the purpose of the founding of the Glowing Heart Society, to rekindle members to recommit their glowing heart to it's endeavors in this heartfelt invitation. - Thaya Gilmore, Vice-Chairman

Glowing Heart Society, Potentials and Foundations
by Roy Ge**er, C.E.O.

In the classic 1958 Rogers & Hammerstein’s wartime musical, “South Pacifi,” the U.S. Naval officers attempted to recruit a local French plantation owner to join in the cause of defeating the Japanese forces. The junior officer reminds Emile DeBeque, “WE are against the Japanese!” Emile’s response is both insightful and timely as he remarks, “I know what you are against but what are you for?”
This is a question of considerable importance that must be answered when the children of God, motivated by charity and interest, use their divinely given agency to join with others in a cause that is committed to benefit and improve the station of all mankind. Here we consider what those who cast their lot with The Glowing Heart Society may expect.
We begin with a big picture analysis of the framework of the vision brought forward by inspiration through its chairman and founder Norberto Buddy Reyes.
What are the goals, principles and values in place to refine and improve all who actively participate in the three areas he outlined: Wisdom, Wellness and Wealth, the focus of the Glowing Heart Society and its educational arm, the Golden Eagles Academy?

Wisdom

Beginning with the fact that every person comes equipped with a divine spark inherited from their Creator the first order is to escape the prison of not knowing our true value and identity.
The next challenge is to leave the well-traveled main thoroughfare of the uninformed.
The next exit would be the crowded and poorly lighted road of the misinformed which adds so much confusion as we travel these days.
Our final destination is the enlightened well-informed status, knowing that we cannot lift others until we ourselves stand on higher ground!
Our labor together centers on the Knowledge Is Power reality and that only truth can make us free to liberate ourselves and others. By expanding ourselves there is more of us to draw upon so we can Love ourselves and others more and give more. Since we have more, we give more!

Wellness

Members are encouraged with education to promote increased health and wellness.
Knowledge and resources, to limit the damage done by conspiring men in our day and preventive and maintenance measures that have been proven effective over time including the curative aspects of heath, are paramount for good health.

Wealth

Starting with a focus on the importance of sound money we acknowledge the absolute necessity of owning gold or silver. There is an emphasis on personal fiscal responsibility including getting and staying out of debt. Wealth building techniques are explored, along with managing and protecting wealth for the benefit of our families. These applications are a hands-on experience to insure learning.
Let us consider some expectations that come with a commitment to the Glowing Heart program:
Since the Glowing Heart Society is a humanitarian association with a benevolent mission to “rescue” and help the needy, the poor, the orphans, the widows, the sick, the hungry and the afflicted anyone wanting to align their thoughts and actions should be prepared to stretch themselves in behalf of others.
With a focus on education the value here lies in growing and learning so every member will be in possession of additional tools to assist those who are less fortunate toward self-reliance and independence.
All are governed by the philosophy of conducting our business at the highest level of integrity and excellence in strict adherence to the true meaning of the “Golden Rule.”
This is an invitation to anyone having a desire to strengthen themselves for the benefit of themselves, their family, and others. The object of that improvement is bringing them to be more closely aligned with their Creator which gives each the power to fulfill the measure of their creation.

Comments by Norberto Buddy Reyes

I appreciate our CEO, Roy Ge**er, for his insight in putting a magnifying glass over the intrinsic principles of GHS and GEA. Most people in modern society have lost the ability to listen and to internalize the meaning and purpose of their existence and why they are here in the school called Earth, thereby, missing the spirit, the beauty, the power and most of all, the wisdom of why they were created by the all knowing, Almighty God. That's why true happiness and joy becomes absent in their lives.
Many have been intoxicated by a very attractive, noisy and pleasureful temporal world. They love to swim in the waters of selfishness which gives birth to greed and self-centeredness or the almighty ego! They have no ETERNAL perspective and are highly myopic. That's the reason why many were attracted to our program because of their greed for temporal benefits. They are constantly tuned in to radio station, WII FM. What's in it for me? Most people only swim on the shallow part of the ocean and don't realize that the precious treasures are way deep down at the bottom.
Our CEO, tried to dive deeper in the water to open the sunken treasure chests of wisdom and share it to remind everyone what's in there!
Great work, Roy Ge**er!
Thank you. Buddy

Theya Gilmore reports; My thoughts are of our dear friend, Norberto Buddy Reyes, who is recovering from eye surgery this week. Many friends are inquiring about the surgery and his progress. So I would like to give some details and an update, with his permission, to let you know what took place.
On Monday, February 27, Buddy had Pterygium Surgery on his right eye. According to several resources on Google, Pterygium is a noncancerous growth of the conjunctiva (a thin membrane lining part of the eyeball and the eyelid), located between the cornea and the white of the eye (the Sclera) which surrounds the eyeball and the cornea. Excessive growth of the conjunctiva leads to a Pterygium (appears as a fleshy, whitish spot) which contains blood vessels. If it continues to grow, it may eventually distort vision. The cause is unknown, but could be contributed to excessive exposure to light, dryness of the eyes, wind, etc., (sometimes called Surfer's eye). The surgery entails eliminating the abnormal tissue from the cornea and sclera. Rather than leave a hole where the Pterygium was removed, the hole was sutured and glued in the Cornea. Thus, making the aftermath of the surgery painful while healing as it feels like “sand and rocks” in the eye, Buddy said.
The doctor said the pain would last for at least 7 days and “Iwould have to just tough it out.”
Buddy wanted me to express his very grateful appreciation to all of you for your love, as he feels that love, and prayers plus putting his name on many temple prayer rolls in his behalf, especially to hopefully minimize the pain. He felt like a “Wounded Warrior.” But now after only 3 days, the pain, while very intense at first, has now subsided substanally and feels more relaxed. “I know I will come back stronger than ever because of my faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ,” Buddy said.
We, his friends, family, and Glowing Heart Society members (Buddy is the Chairman and Founder of GHS) are so grateful for Heavenly Father, and His, Son, the Lord, Jesus Christ, to bless Buddy through this ordeal. Let's keep Buddy in our prayers for continued improvement of healing so that he can return to his many important projects in helping other people as he desires to do with the guidance of Jesus Christ. - Thaya Gilmore, Vice-Chairman of Glowing Heart Society (GHS)

Service Projects

No matter what religion you are, or if you go to church or not, the Savior, Jesus Christ, set the example for us to follow on how to serve. He was never too busy to help others. Even on the Cross, He was concerned about who was to take care of his Mother. He is not now even too busy to help each of us on a daily basis, and sometimes we don't even have to ask Him. He's already there.
Look for the signs of the times as outlined in the Bible and take care of yourself, your family, friends and concentrate on how you can help them and especially to prepare for the future. Store food and supplies to be self-reliant so that you don't have to depend on the government.
Are you too busy to be the eyes, ears, and hands going about doing good as one of the Savior's disciples?
Based upon the assignment given to us by Buddy to be busily engaged in humanitarian projects, individually and as a team, keeping a log of our acts of service, here are a few ideas on what to do for humanitarian acts of charity (if you don't know how or where to start):

1. Look in the newspaper to see who has a need or how you can help someone or an organization by volunteering, sending a card, or make a monetary donation.
2. If you are going to the store, call to ask a neighbor if they would like to go or can you pick up something for them?
3. Look for people in the store, reach up high or down low to get something for them or don't be afraid to ask someone to help you, and let them have the joy of serving, and help them to pay it forward.
4. Smile at people in the store, on the street, in a public place, and say “hi.”
5. Look for ways to assist them.
6. Call a friend to see how they are doing.
7. Write a note to a friend, or even someone you don't know to hopefully lift their spirits.
8. When at church, look who is sitting by themselves, sit by them or invite them to sit with you.
9. If someone is new to church, shake their hand and welcome them.
10. If you see a moving van, stop and ask if you can help.
11. Take cookies to welcome a new neighbor.
12. Pray daily who you can help, and ask the Lord to guide your footsteps.
13. Start with your own family, how you can help them, and it's passed forward, like a ripple effect.
14. Take out garbage cans, shovel snow, mow the lawn, w**d flower beds for your neighbor.
15. Stand for truth and righteousness.
16. Hold your banner (the flag) high.
17. When the opportunity arises, remind people of Christ's message of love.
18. Let people know what planet we're from—the planet of LOVE.
19. Help in a care facility by putting your arm around someone who needs a hug, or hold children and read stories to them in an abuse center.
20. Serve meals in a soup kitchen for the homeless.
21. Write a poem and hand it out to a stranger or a friend.
22. Play the piano over the phone to a shut-in.
23. Let people in the store line go in front of you, if you have a basket full.
24. When at a fast food, tell the cashier you are paying for the customer's meal behind you.

There are many ways to serve. If you know of other ways to serve individually or as a team, please post them on this GHS page so that we can reference each others lists.

Several people have asked how to become a member of the Glowing Heart Society (GHS). An individual reads and signs an Application/Registration Form which outlines what it means to be a member, such as written on the Form “...to be part of the humanitarian and charitable mission, have a positive spirit, winning attitude and a charitable heart...promise to act in accordance and pledge your allegiance to the philosophy of conducting my activities at the highest level of integrity...through the spirit of truth, pure love, selflessness, teamwork and caring for others...and have a strict adherence to the true meaning of the Golden Rule.”
There is no cost to be a member of GHS. Then as a GHS member, at first, you could enroll in the Golden Eagles Academy (GEA) education programs “Wisdom, Wellness and Wealth” programs for $150.00 tuition like in most courses of education, especially in the higher learning institutions. Also included in these programs, you would be eligible to participate in many various projects to generate a continuously growing income, acquiring additional income streams (not MLM companies) as they are introduced at no extra “out-of-pocket expense.”
However, at present, there is no tuition being collected. On the Agreement page of the Application/Registration Form, the GHS member would “...support the mission to help people in need...be patient...be invoked in humanitarian and charitable projects as a volunteer and not receive any renumeration...”
GHS encourages its members to do daily acts of service and to keep a log of them so that these ideas can be shared with other members in knowing what types of services can be administered, if ideas are needed. A few ideas will soon be posted to this site.

We, the GHS or Glowing Heart Society wish to inform everyone regarding: Who we are and what we do. We are first and foremost, a humanitarian and charitable organization and association where our main mission is to help the poorest of the poor, help the widows, the orphans, the homeless, the sick and the underdog. We are dedicated to help rescue the needy from the bo***ge of poverty and financial distress and help them achieve self-reliance,
independence and true freedom. To be able to do this, we are always raising funds by doing a variety of things, including doing concerts. We would like to ask your help at this time to buy tickets to our Elvis concert in West Valley, Utah which is part of Salt Lake City. Look at the flier below to find out all the information about the most unique, most enjoyable and enlightening evening for everyone who comes!

Norberto Buddy Reyes I just got back from the Philippines and I ask all of you who have a Christian heart to help our cause in feeding hungry children, as well as the elderly and families who are starving to death. Some of them only eat twice a week when we are not there. We have expanded our help to include so many villages in different provinces that really need our help. They look to GHS as much better than the Government in giving them HOPE, LOVE and LIGHT! To all GHS members in Utah, THIS IS IT! Don't be a member if you can't do your very best in helping our HUMANITARIAN AND CHARITABLE FUND RAISING EVENT! Don't ever go and bear your testimony once a month, if you do not put every ounce of energy in helping save these helpless people. LET NOT OUR SAVIOR COMPARE YOU TO WHITEN SEPULCHERS! Even our GHS SELF RELIANT TEAM who serve the people needs help! I've been to so many places where the only hope is US! Yes US, the GHS! Remember, This is an appeal to GHS members and all our friends in Utah, most especially the Filipinos. Don't forget, be prepared to respond to our Savior's statements to you later, "FOR I WAS AN HUNGRED, AND YE GAVE ME NO MEAT: I WAS THIRSTY, AND YE GAVE ME NO DRINK............" and also: ".........VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, INASMUCH AS YE DID IT NOT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE, YOU DID IT NOT TO ME." (Mathew 25:42,45)
