HVRCC has been in existence since 2008, located on top of a decommissioned landfill with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and lower Hudson Valley. HVRCC currently has 75 members. Our members are RC hobbyists that fly a variety of different RC aircraft. Those consist of gas, nitro, electric powered airplanes, helicopters and gliders as

well. These aircraft fly just like large scale aircraft with the exception that the pilot is flying with a ground transmitter. All aircraft are flown in visual line of sight of the pilot. All our members are members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and follow strict safety standards of this nationwide organization. The AMA is the world's largest model aviation association, representing a membership of more than 175,000 from every walk of life, income level and age group. The Academy of Model Aeronautics is a world-class association of modelers organized for the purpose of promotion, development, education, advancement, and safeguarding of modeling activities. The Academy provides leadership, organization, communication, competition, protection, representation, recognition, education, and scientific/technical development to modelers.
