Hello dancers out there, I know we’ve been silent for a while and I’m sorry about that. We’ve all been very focused on our teaching jobs Which have now become virtual and we have had to make some major adjustments and find new ways to work while helping our students deal with being unable to dance in the studio. But we have not forgotten our community of mature dancers. ..Those of you who are stuck indoors for long periods of time without any access to a dance studio I would encourage you to take the opportunity to explore movement in different places. You do not need to be in a dance studio to move you can create and explore in a closet. And you do not need to have other dancers around you or even a leader in order to have an impetus for movement.  But if you need one I can certainly oblige. I would like to challenge you to find an interesting space in which you can explore movement and create a phrase that is meaningful to you or that you are interested in.If you do have an outdoor area that you feel safe to explore please take a look at that and see what movements you can do. In times of stress being able to create and to focus on the creative process can be therapeutic. Please keep dancing and exploring!
