Thank you to the good folks at Eversource for hosting our pop up!

It is always a little nerve wracking to go to a new place. Where do we park? Will it be a long walk? Where do we set up? Are there stairs or an elevator? Where is the bathroom? These are important questions!

We were very impressed with the how nice everyone was and we loved to answer all of their questions about our homemade quality products.

We sold dog shaped soap, spa candles, bath bombs, BBQ sauce, fairy house kits, baseball candles, and firestarters. We rang a bell after every sale because we want the buyer to feel special. Everyone had a great time and we even did the “wave”. Thank you for hosting our pop up Eversource!

For more than 15 years, Schaller Subaru has been a committed partner, investing in our mission and helping expand opportunity for the individuals we serve.

Through this year’s Share the Love Campaign, our valued partnership continues with a $25,000 contribution to support brighter futures for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other barriers to education and work.

This generous contribution will fund the purchase of an additional vehicle, strengthening our ability to deliver one-to-one, individualized services and community-based support.

We are deeply grateful for Schaller Subaru’s continued partnership and their commitment to expanding access to education and employment opportunities for the individuals we serve. Earlier this year, Futures Inc. shared our knowledge of how to create a microbusiness with students and teachers at Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford.

The students ran with their ideas and not only created fun and creative businesses but they decided to donate their profits to Futures Inc.!

We are incredibly grateful to the amazing students and teachers Kelly Anstead and Jami Silver at Kingswood Oxford School for their generous $431 donation to Futures Inc. 💛

More than the donation, we celebrate the creativity, effort, and pride the students poured into building their businesses. That powerful feeling of creating something meaningful and seeing others value it is exactly what entrepreneurship is all about.

At Futures Inc., we work every day to create those same opportunities for individuals who need extra support to find their voice, share their talents, and experience that deep sense of pride and purpose.

You didn’t just raise funds you helped move our mission forward. We can’t wait to show you how your $431 will be put to good use.

What a turnout! ☀️ Thank you to everyone who joined us today in Downtown Hartford for the ribbon cutting of the The Kitchen at Futures Inc. Café, located at the Hartford Public Library.

It was a beautiful day for a ribbon cutting, and we’re grateful to all the leaders, community partners and supporters who helped make this day so meaningful, including Mayor Arunan Arulampalam, David Griggs and the Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Bridget Quinn, President and CEO of the Hartford Public Library, Jordan Scheff, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, and Andreas Kapetanopoulos, Regional President, NBT Bank.

Celebrating alongside the individuals we serve was a true highlight of the day. In addition to students from the Futures School, individuals in our Day Services program, and Microbusiness entrepreneurs who joined us for the occasion, we were especially proud to have Ishan P., Dillon C., and Andy J. join us in the ribbon cutting line.

So many members of the Futures Inc. team went the extra mile to make the event seamless - THANK YOU, ALL!

The new Kitchen at Futures Inc. Café expands access to fresh food at accessible prices while creating job skills training and meaningful paid employment opportunities in Downtown Hartford, and we’re honored and excited to welcome you to this beautiful, inclusive space in our local community. One mission fueling another 🌟

Thanks to support from The Farmington Bank Community Foundation, The Kitchen at Futures Inc. has been honored to prepare and deliver monthly meals to members of our community who need them most.

“The population in need has increased over time, and these food deliveries from The Kitchen at Futures mean so much to the people we serve,” shared Pepper McBain, Volunteer Food Coordinator at Brian’s Angels Homeless Outreach. Based in Bristol, the nonprofit provides meals, clothing, and basic necessities to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Since November 2025, our team has delivered 290 meals to Brian’s Angels. This opportunity also created meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, adding six additional work hours every month for three consumers on The Kitchen at Futures team.

We are proud of the impact this partnership has made possible and grateful to The Farmington Bank Community Foundation for investing in programs and services that strengthen our community.

📍At the Capitol today for the Arc CT Legislative Luncheon, with a beautifully prepared catering spread provided by The Kitchen at Futures Inc. team.

After a quick visit to the legislative chamber, Andy J. and Stephen joined Chefs Shelley and Paul to serve lunch to members of Arc chapters and legislators from across Connecticut.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect and advance the conversation around access, opportunity, and full inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.
