Reborns With Reasons RWR is an outreach program that uses reborn dolls as therapy-type tools for those with dementia. I provide dementia focused therapeutic services only.

What a beautiful day to Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Pioneer Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's!

To say baby Joey was loved would be an understatement! Many fellow walk participants remembered me from last year, and it was so much fun reconnecting with familiar faces.

I met lots of new people, too, and shared in stories that remind us of the many ways Alzheimer’s touches our lives and connects us.

Days like today are a beautiful reminder that we’re never alone in this journey. Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello, share a story, or spend a little time with Joey. You made the day extra special!

Today is the Pioneer Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's!

Each year, I donate 12 dolls at Christmas time for my annual ‘12 Dolls of Christmas’ giveaway. But this year, Christmas is coming in October!

As I attend the walk today, I am hoping my heart will lead me to find three people that will benefit from having their own baby to love and care for during their dementia journey.

Sometimes, the most meaningful gifts are the ones we never expect. My hope is that each baby finds the right person and brings a little extra love into their life. Everyone deserves a bundle of love.

No tricks, just treats! 🍬

A flamingo, a fox, a black cat, and a Dalmatian walk into a memory care community…. just kidding! Sounds like the beginning of a joke, doesn’t it?

These little cuties brought something even better than Halloween treats to our recent visit to memory care at the Atrium at Cardinal Drive. They brought smiles, laughter, and so much joy.

Here’s the thing about these dolls. The goal is never to trick anyone into believing they’re real. It’s to offer an opportunity for comfort, connection, and engagement. Some people recognize them as dolls, while others experience the moment differently. Either way, I meet each person where they are and honor their experience with dignity and respect.

Because sometimes, the sweetest treat isn’t always wrapped in cellophane. A moment of connection, a feeling of comfort, or the simple joy of having someone to care for can be even sweeter.

No tricks. Just treats, one baby at a time. 🎃

One of my recent group participants was holding sweet baby Genevieve, and I watched as she carefully supported the baby with one hand while using the other to pull up the hood of her outfit.

I wanted to rush over and help, but I try my best to allow independence whenever I can. After all, she wasn’t distressed or struggling. She was simply figuring it out.

After a few moments, she adjusted the hood just so, then gently held Genevieve securely with both hands before looking up at me and grinning.

I told her how cute Genevieve looked and admitted that I had never actually put the hood up on that outfit before. I told her how much I loved it and how the little hood made the outfit even better.
I mean, look at that little stem!

“She’s the cutest pumpkin in all the patches,” she said beaming with pride.

And ya know what? I don’t disagree.

What a wonderful day to have a wonderful day at Keystone Commons!

The babies and I had such a fantastic time at their Resource Fair! We met so many great people, shared lots of smiles and cuddles, and of course, the babies managed to steal the show as always.

A big thank you to Keystone Commons for inviting us to be part of such a fun day. We loved every minute of it!

This picture may not look like much, but to me, it is so special.

This is a woman who is typically exceptionally difficult to reach. She lives in her own little world and rarely lets the outside world in.

So imagine my surprise when I attempted to engage her with baby Sadie. After a few tries, her eyes met Sadie’s, and I knew immediately that something was different. She didn’t just gaze at Sadie this time. She saw her.

When I placed Sadie on her lap, I was elated when she reached her hand down and gently placed it on the baby. And then, at one point, she even caressed Sadie’s tiny hand with her fingers. It was such a small interaction, but it was anything but insignificant.

This is exactly why I will never stop trying to enter even the most difficult to reach worlds. Because sometimes, all it takes is the right moment, the right connection, and a little baby named Sadie to open a door we weren’t sure could be opened.
