Pilgrimages can lead us through spiritually difficult places, but they can also teach us to put our trust in God as He leads us through these places to a deeper relationship with Him.

๐…๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐‰๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐š: Floating City explores the intersection of imagination and introspection. Emerging from a meditative state, the image of a city floating above layers of earth, mountains, water, and life captured my attention. While the cartoonish, whimsical aesthetic invites playfulness, it also reflects a deeper truth: every city, every society, rests upon layers unseenโ€”histories, struggles, and foundations that sustain it. The bright, layered colors mirror both the vibrancy of the city above and the richness of the world beneath, encouraging viewers to pause and experience their own "aha" moment, connecting curiosity, wonder, and reflection.

See โ€œFloating Cityโ€ and others through April 27th! โ›ต๏ธ

๐…๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ž: After 20 years of painting for pleasure, I began to paint with purpose. As a visual artist, I want to convey the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth to viewers. I chose 'Ministers of the Most High God, Tried by Fire' to enter the Pilgrims of Hope exhibit because it represents the body of Christ at work. As we go through life, we experience trials and tribulations. These trials test our faith, and we need to be reminded of the hope that is in Christ. The author and finisher of our faith. He is called the Hope of Glory, and He is our hope of a home in Heaven. This Painting was conceived from a dream and a vision, which came together in one painting. The vision was of a Hill & Cross on Fire, and the dream was of followers of Christ answering. His call to help spread His gospel into the streets. When I began the painting, I had no intention of putting figures in the middle; however, while painting the flames, I noticed a hand holding a foot. I continued painting the figures in the fire, eventually reaching the base of the cross. Each one is helping the other to the Cross of Christ. They are working together as one, lifting each other through the trials of lite, encouraging each other in their faith, and laying down their lives for one another. These are. pilgrims of hope, those who come along in times of hardship. "No greater love has any man than to lay down his life for his friends," Jesus Christ.

Our exhibit โ€œPilgrims of Hopeโ€ runs through April 27th โ€” we hope youโ€™ll visit soon! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐…๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฌ๐š๐ง: The father in this image, holding his child, embodies a Pilgrim of Hope through his protection, nurturing, and care for his childโ€™s welfare and well-being. He truly represents the spirit of hope. I captured this intimate moment of a father and son on a ferry departing a remote island 30 miles off the Maine coast. As an abstract photographer, I rarely capture figurative scenes, but this one was reflected off the glazed opening aboard the Elizabeth Ann.
