The Lillian Fund is 'pairing' up with JFS for a Kids' Socks Drive this holiday season! Lillian Fund Committee members are collecting brand new socks and gift cards to Walmart and Target to purchase socks to provide to children who receive services at Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford. Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford - Thank you so much for a meaningful and inspirational site visit. Stuffing spice packets for the food pantry was one of our activities, and we had a lot of fun...because we were learning so much and chatting, we didn't even realize we had filled 140 packets!!

This summer, incredible things were happening with the Lillian Fund Giving Circle! Thank you to everyone who attended the Lillian Fund Grant Reveal earlier this summer on June 25th at The Mark Twain House & Museum. It was so good to see familiar and new faces and celebrate together!

The Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford staff wanted to thank the following people:

Congratulations again to our 2025 Impact Honoree Grant recipient Orr Shalom for Israeli Children-at-Risk - in support of its Em Haderech pilot program and to our 2023 Impact Grant recipient Healing Meals Community Project to support its Maternal Meals program.

The West Hartford-based foundation earlier this month awarded a major grant to a Simsbury nonprofit to help new/expectant mothers.

We had such a fun time last night with the Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford Women's Seder! Thank you to all our participants, volunteers, and collaborators for being a part of such a beautiful evening. The staff of Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford enjoyed hanging out with the over 300 attendees and so appreciate those who filled out a card for the women who are supported by Israel Lemonade Fund לימונדה ישראל We also wanted to thank the Lillian Fund Committee Members for their participation and passion at the event - your ruach added to the evening.

The great news is....the Lillian Fund 2025 Grant Application cycle is NOW OPEN!

The Lillian Fund, a giving circle for women of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, seeks to support qualified non-profit organizations in the Greater Hartford region and in Israel, that serve women and children. During the year, Lillian Fund members learn about challenges facing women in our communities through educational and volunteer opportunities. Members vote on which project receives a grant from the Fund.

The Lillian Fund Committee accepts, and reviews grant proposals in conjunction with the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford staff and giving circle members. Grant proposals are due April 4! If you would like your non-profit organization to apply, reach out to Carly Norman at [email protected] for the grant application guidelines and more information.
