BOIL water advisory has been LIFTED!

Have a great day!

Tips during a Boil Water Advisory:

During a boil water advisory, the most crucial rule is to not drink tap water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute (or 3 minutes if you are above 6,500 feet) and let it cool completely before using.Use bottled or boiled water for the following tasks to stay safe:
Food & DrinkDrinking: All water consumed directly or used for making iced tea and lemonade.

Cooking: Boiling vegetables, rinsing fresh produce, and cooking pasta or rice.Ice: Do not use automatic ice makers connected to your tap. Discard existing ice and clean the bin.

Hygiene & CleaningBrushing Teeth: Do not use tap water; use bottled or cooled, boiled water.

Washing Dishes: It is safest to use disposable plates and utensils. If you must wash dishes by hand, wash with hot, soapy water, and soak them for 1 minute in a solution of 1 teaspoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water.

Washing Hands: Wash with soap and boiled (then cooled) water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.Bathing: Adults can shower or bathe as long as you do not swallow the water. Give infants and children sponge baths rather than full tub baths to avoid accidental ingestion.

AppliancesFilters & Coffee Makers: Standard refrigerators or pitcher filters do not kill bacteria. Turn off appliances connected to your water line, such as coffee/tea makers, soda dispensers, and icemakers.

After the Advisory is LiftedFlush your pipes: Run all cold water faucets for 5 to 10 minutes to clear out any contaminated water.Replace filters: Throw away any water filters (like those in your fridge or pitcher) and replace them, as they may be contaminated.Clean appliances: Empty and sanitize automatic ice machines and water dispensers.

Just want to give an informative post, promise I’m not being mean by this. When on a Boil Water Advisory, I promise we will notify when it’s lifted, we send samples to a laboratory, until we get clear results, you will remain on the advisory! And that usually takes a couple days or until we get a clear sample! Just wanted to explain how it works. We understand the frustration and we do apologize for the inconvenience! -Natalie

Water is slowly being restored. Fire Hydrant blew overnight and drained our tank, because of the tank running dry your water will be very discolored, We are asking customers to limit water usage so we can flush the lines to help with the discoloration. DO NOT use hot water to avoid sediment getting into your hot water tanks, also may want to hold off on washing laundry for tonight. Customers in this area will also be on a BOIL WATER ADVISORY, until further notice!
We appreciate your patience as we continue to get you restored and cleared.
