Hi Avon Grove Families!

While we do love to run in the rain, this Nor'easter has caused our grassy course to become slippery and hazardous. We will be canceling today's race and plan to use our rain date on 11/1 to make up for today. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we can't wait to see all our runner friends at the starting line next Sunday 10/4!!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Have a great week!

IT’S RACE DAY!

A couple reminders:
✅ We run in the rain! As long as there is no thunderstorm we will be running. If the weather becomes unsafe then we will cancel and run on our rain date. We will make a separate Facebook post as well as email all registered runners/volunteers. But for now- we are on!!

✅ Please leave your furry friends at home! For the safety of our runners HKRS- Avon Grove is a pet free event.

✅ Please no pacing! This is your runner’s chance to see how they can challenge themselves in a fun and safe environment.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this afternoon!!

🌱🏅 At Healthy Kids Running Series, we're not just inspiring a love for running, we're also teaching the importance of taking care of our planet!
This fall, our National Office has offered a Green Initiative encouraging race series across the country to utilize past seasons leftover inventory. We’re excited to share that HKRS- Avon Grove is proudly joining this effort! 💚
By utilizing medals from past seasons, we're cutting down on waste, making room for future designs, and putting more resources into what matters most: creating high-quality programs for our young runners. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
Together, we’re helping kids build healthy habits and a greener future. 🌎✨

There’s still time to sign up for our first race of the season this Sunday!!

🏃‍♀️💙 We Need Your Help on Race Day! 💙🏃‍♂️

We’re looking for a few more volunteers to help make race day at the HKRS-Avon Grove extra special for our runners!

Volunteers will be stationed at different points along the course to cheer on the kids, encourage them, and help make sure everyone stays on course. 📣👏

The best part? It’s not a long time commitment! We just need a few extra sets of eyes and lots of cheering voices to help our kids feel supported as they run. ❤️

If you’re able to volunteer, we would greatly appreciate your help! Our runners work so hard, and seeing their parents and our community cheering them on means so much! 🏅

Thank you for helping us make HKRS such a fun and encouraging experience for everyone!
