Kari Wood wears many hats! At Penn Medicine she’s known as an amazing oncology nurse. If you’ve played in any of our golf outings, you know her as an excellent cookie baker. We know her as an indispensable volunteer, ready to help with whatever we need! Kari’s support of MK4K has earned us another grant from Penn Cares! Not only will you have an amazing day of golf, while helping us empower kids to live healthy lives and chase their dreams, but you’ll have a chance to win great prizes!! Like a free one hour lesson with PGA Master Professional, John Dunigan. John is a highly sought after, award winning golf coach. Thank you to The Alliance for Health Equity! With your support, we were able to take these young people from Coatesville Youth Initiative shopping for new sneakers. The kids from CYI’s Service Corps had a blast choosing their new shoes. They’ll be heading back to school looking good and feeling confident 💛🩷👟🩷💛

What an amazing time we had! 60+ kids from Mighty Writers Kennett Square met us at at the adidas store in Lancaster, where they each picked out a new pair of sneakers! So many smiles, “oohs” and “aahs”. Mighty Writers’ director said this is the kids’ favorite day of the summer, and it’s ours too. Thanks to Tyler, Erica, and the amazing staff at Adidas, our shopping helpers Mary Wood, Jeff Wood, Jena Wood, and Wendy Byers Colagreco, and all of our supporters for making this happen!! Special thanks to The Mushroom Festival for their generous grant to fund this day.
