Strongest Hearts has never been about just one person or one family.

It’s about a community of families, friends, researchers, donors, volunteers, advocates, and supporters who believe that a better future for those living with muscular dystrophy is possible.

Every fundraiser attended.
Every donation made.
Every post shared.
Every conversation started.
Every person who has believed in this mission.

It all matters.

As we begin moving forward again, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has stood beside Strongest Hearts and helped us get this far.

There is still so much work to do—and we’re grateful to have you with us for what comes next.

Funding Innovation. Creating Hope. 💚

Strongest Hearts was created with a belief that research can change what the future looks like for individuals and families affected by Becker and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Through the support of our community, we have helped fund CRISPR research led by Dr. Vinod Jaskula-Ranga at Hunterian—work focused on finding new possibilities for treating muscular dystrophy.

Our mission goes beyond raising money. We are here to:

💚 Build awareness
🤝 Create opportunities
❤️ Support families

There is still important work ahead, and we're excited to start sharing more about the research, the people behind it, and what comes next.

We’ve been a little quiet. But we’re ready to get back to work. 💚

More than a year ago, research we have worked so hard to support reached an incredible milestone when it was approved for significant grant funding. After years of fundraising, advocating, and believing in this work, it felt like we were finally seeing the momentum we had worked so hard to create.

Then, earlier this year, that funding was held—along with funding affecting many other researchers working toward treatments and cures for serious diseases.

It was incredibly disappointing, and for a few months, we lost some of our momentum.

But we never lost our determination.

The families waiting for better treatments haven’t stopped waiting. The researchers haven’t stopped believing in what’s possible. And neither have we.

September is Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month, and we can’t think of a better time to begin moving forward again.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about the research, what we’ve accomplished together, what comes next, and new ways to get involved.

On Rare Disease Day, Strongest Hearts is honored that Crystal Charities, Inc. with the Tall Cedars of Lebanon are hosting their Annual Bull Roast Fundraiser in support of families affected by Muscular Dystrophy.

They provide critical support to families in need — helping with wheelchairs, adaptive vehicles, medical expenses, and more. We are especially honored by the generous support they have shown Strongest Hearts over the last three years.
