Danville S-Ski-Mo Snowmobile Club

Danville S-Ski-Mo Snowmobile Club The "Danville S-Ski-Mo Club, Inc." was organized January 28, 1970 by a group of about 20 members. We groom 68 miles of trail and are located in Danville VT

03/26/2026

Our trails are currently CLOSED due to insufficient snow coverage. While the recent snowfall may make it look rideable, conditions are not adequate and riding at this time will cause damage to landowners’ property.

We have already received a few complaints about sleds being out since the new snow, and we want to do our part to respect the landowners who make our trail system possible.

Please stay off the trails.

Thank you for your cooperation and support!

03/12/2026

Due to the lack of snow, we have made the decision to close all trails as of March 12, 2026.

While it’s not the ending we were hoping for, we want to thank everyone who helped make this a great season. We truly appreciate all of our landowners, volunteers, groomer operators, and riders who make these trails possible every year. Your support, time, and cooperation are what keep our trail system running.

If we happen to get enough snow to bring conditions back, we may consider reopening the trails, but at this point the forecast isn’t looking very promising.

Thank you again to everyone who supported the club and enjoyed the trails this season. We hope to see you all again next winter!

❄️ New Snowmobile Access Into Danville Village! ❄️

We’re excited to share that we now have a designated snowmobile trail providing access right into town at Junction CA108!

📍 The trail ends behind Passumpsic Savings Bank and the church, where there is a designated parking area for sleds.

From there, it’s an easy walk:
➡️ Toward the church and out onto Park Street to the Green
➡️ Over to several local restaurants and businesses

Please note: This is park and walk access only once you reach the end of the trail. Do not ride beyond the marked area. Let’s continue to respect private property and the generous landowners who make this possible 🙌

While you’re in town, be sure to stop in and support:
🍽️ Three Ponds
🥐 Bentley’s Bakery
🍜 Huang’s Noodle Shop
🏨 Danville Inn

Let’s show them appreciation for being snowmobile-friendly and supporting our trail system!

Ride right ➡️, respect landowners, and think snow ❄️

‼️2/10/26 Comfort Inn, St. Johnsbury Trail Update ‼️

The Comfort Inn trail is OPEN ✅ even though the map is currently showing as closed/red.

Use Caution: ⚠️ ⛔️ There are few trees down but you can get around them. Some field signing is not been done yet, and there are stops signs missing down by the Comfort Inn road crossing. Apologies for the inconvenience, there have been logging operations going on and we will be rectifying these issues this Thursday evening 2/12/26 in preparation for the upcoming weekend.

Please note ‼️: This is a connector trail and there will be less grooming to be done on this trail vs our other trails in our system for the remainder of the season

‼️ 1/30/26 Trail Update ‼️

All trails have now been groomed at least once, and conditions are excellent out there ❄️👌 The light, powdery snow has set up great and riding is about as good as it gets right now.

Our groomers will be out again tonight and throughout the weekend, so please use caution, slow it down around corners, and watch for the groomer when you see the lights 🚨

As always, thank you for respecting our landowners, riding right ➡️, and thinking snow ❄️

Enjoy the trails and be safe out there!

‼️1/28/26 Trail Update‼️

Over the past couple of days we’ve received about 18 inches of light, powdery snow ❄️ and are working on getting everything groomed this week.

We will post updates of trails groomed as we do them tonight and tomorrow. The rail trail from Marty's to Walden and Rts 234, 153, 154 and 51 to Marty's have all been groomed.

As always, please respect landowners, ride right ➡️ and think snow ❄️
