Howie is 13 Year old Thoroughbred horse, suffering with a dangerous eye injury. On December 10th, 2021 Howie was enjoying the day outside. Suddenly, he found himself tangled up in a fence. As Howie was trying to free himself, he began to panic. This panic caused him having a severe eye injury. Having a damaged retina, Howie faces the idea of permanent eye loss. During this time his eye is severely infected. Howie needs expensive meds every 4 hours to treat infection. Hopefully, his eye doesn't need to be taken out!
The Owner of Howie is a 17 year old young adult that takes care of him and does not know where to turn for help. She is anxiously desperate to help get her horse the care he needs. Howie's owner doesn't have the financial support to get this done!! Surgery is going to be needed if this doesn't clear up.
Vet is working with her as much as possible, and cutting her own costs.
We don't want Howie in pain anymore!!
