Founded in 1959, the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center (ESGVJCC) Gakuen is a Japanese language school for K-12th grade held on Saturday mornings. Students learn basic conversation, reading/writing, and various Japanese cultural aspects.

Had another great turnout for our monthly in-person class sessions 👏👏 Thank you to all our parents and Gakuen board for helping to make this happen during these times of COVID & masks 😷. We appreciate the dedication that is shown in making it as safe as can be for our kids! We even got to have a “special snack” of yummy somen which was happily devoured 😋 by everyone. We are truly grateful!! 🥢
