🎉 Site Registration for Fall 2026 is NOW OPEN!

Girls on the Run Columbia is excited to begin planning for another incredible season of confidence-building, connection, and growth for girls throughout the Midlands!

We're currently seeking schools, community organizations, recreation centers, churches, homeschool groups, and youth-serving agencies interested in hosting a Girls on the Run (grades 3-5) or Heart & Sole (grades 6-8) site this fall. Our program is open to sites across Kershaw, Lexington, Richland and Sumter counties.

✨ Girls on the Run is more than a running program. Our evidence-based curriculum helps girls develop:
💙 Confidence and self-esteem
💙 Healthy relationships
💙 Emotional well-being
💙 Leadership skills
💙 Goal-setting and perseverance

One of the best parts? Girls on the Run Columbia recruits, trains, and supports the volunteer coaches who lead the program, making it easy for organizations to bring this impactful experience to their girls.

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the educators who go far beyond the classroom for our girls. 💜✨

Many of our Girls on the Run coaches are teachers who spend their days inspiring, encouraging, and supporting students — then continue showing up after school to help girls build confidence, connection, and life skills through our program.

Thank you for being role models, cheerleaders, listeners, and safe spaces for so many girls in our community. Your impact reaches far beyond lessons and laps. 🏃🏽‍♀️

Sending our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Anderson as well as the staff, students, and family of Liberty STEAM Charter School.

It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Epiphany Anderson, our beloved Founding Office Coordinator & Leader Fellow at the Elementary Campus of Liberty STEAM Charter School.

Ms. Anderson was a devoted supporter of our scholars, staff, and families, and her presence will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and condolences are with her family and all who loved her during this difficult time. Grief counselors will be on campus tomorrow to support any scholars who may need support.

She believed strongly in the power of education and would have wanted our scholars to continue learning. As we mourn her loss, may the Liberty Flame continue to shine bright in her memory. We will suspend MAP testing for the remainder of the week.
