🏒 TAKE A LOOK INSIDE THE OLD BARN HOCKEY YARD! 🏒

You don’t have to know anything about hockey to have fun here! Whether you’ve played hockey for years, are just getting started, or have never picked up a stick, there’s something for everyone at the Barn!

We’ve been working hard to create a place where kids can play, practice, compete, and hang out with their teammates, friends, and family.

Here’s a look at what you’ll find inside! 👀

🏒 Bubble Hockey – Challenge your friends to a classic hockey showdown!

🥅 Air Hockey – A little friendly competition off the rink.

🎮 Head’s Up Hockey – Interactive stickhandling games where kids can compete, improve their skills, and challenge each other.

🎯 Top Shot Interactive Shooting Net – A variety of shooting games and challenges that make practicing your shot fun.

⚡ Reaction Stations (Coming Soon!) – Featuring the Superdeker reaction wall to test your quick hands, coordination, and reaction time!

🏒 Mini Knee Hockey Room – A dedicated space for knee hockey battles or for coaches to run stickhandling drills with smaller groups.

🛋️ Hangout Area – A comfortable place to relax, spend time with friends, and enjoy some hockey.

📺 Multiple TVs – Catch hockey games and other sports while hanging out at the Barn.

💧 Hydration Station – Stay hydrated between games and training sessions.

🎒 Bag Cubbies & Stick Storage – Dedicated spaces to keep hockey bags, sticks, and equipment organized.

🪑 Plenty of Seating – Room for parents, players, and families to relax and watch the action.

🎟️ Free for Members During Open Play – Members can enjoy the Barn’s inside activities at no additional cost during designated open play times! Non-Members can enjoy at a low cost.

Our goal is simple: Create a place where kids want to spend time, whether they’re practicing their skills, trying hockey for the first time, playing games, or just hanging out with friends.

Does anyone know of a local business who might be getting rid of a bunch of 12 ft metal poles? We will need them for part of our rink to hold up the netting on both sides. (2 feet under ground, 10 feet above ground) Picture below is an example of what they will be used for. We will need a minimum of 40 total to cover both ends.

We are happy to give a letter for taxes for an in-kind donation. Many of you are up to speed with our rink debacle so any amount of donations or support would be greatly appreciated so we can get The Old Barn Hockey Yard up and running by the end of 2026.

Come play some street hockey with us at Saluda River Academy’s Riverfest on Thursday! We will be out back on the basketball court.

On Friday our handicap parking space was poured, as well as an extension to make a small patio. This week the spot will be painted and the sign hung. This is one step closer to opening!!

Now you get a small glimpse as to what the back of The Yard will look like - a patio with comfortable relaxing seating that looks out to the rink!
