Our vision is to have a community of devoted disciples of Christ within walking distance of every African. The cross of Jesus Christ is our motivation.

The Africa Missions Association aims to honor God and serve people with the gospel of Christ in Africa by increasing resources for Africa, building partnerships between US and African churches, and facilitating excellent communications and reporting. God is whom we love and serve in doing this, and we are sharing in His work. The Word of God guides us. The Holy Spirit enables us.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

The church is made up of many members, each with a part to play. Across Africa, congregations worship, serve, build relationships, and share the message of Jesus in their communities.

As Africa Missions Association, we celebrate the unity we share in Christ and the work taking place across the African churches within the International Churches of Christ.

Let us continue to encourage one another and work together in God's mission.

𝗔𝗪𝗞𝗔, 𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗡!

September 20, 2026, will be remembered as a historic day in the ICOC family in Nigeria.

The Awka Church was officially planted, becoming the 20th ICOC church planted in Nigeria since the Lagos Church was established in 1989, and the 36th church in the English-Speaking West Africa Missions.

Even heavy rainfall could not stop the gathering. More than 170 people came together for the inaugural service, filling the day with worship, fellowship, faith, and joy.

The prayers, sacrifices, and tireless efforts of the mission team bore beautiful fruit as three women were baptized into Christ!

What a joyful beginning for the Awka Church.

We celebrate what God has done and look forward with faith to what lies ahead.

Welcome to the family, Awka Church!

To God be all the glory.

There's something beautiful about seeing campus students across Southern Africa who attended Encounter 2026 and genuinely want to know God.💛

We're grateful for every student who asks questions, seeks truth, opens their heart, and takes steps towards faith. Your hunger for God inspires us, and we're praying your journey draws you closer to him every day.

Here's to a new generation seeking God

From July 15–19, the regional family chairs from across Africa gathered in Nairobi, Kenya, for the annual Africa D-Group; a refreshing time of learning centered on the meeting’s theme, “R𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨,” fellowship, and forward-looking conversations about the future of our churches across the continent.

Good News from Kusimu - East Africa

07/02/2026

Seven teens from the church in Antananarivo, Madagascar, hosted the first of three youth outreach programs planned for 2026 at a school in an underprivileged neighbourhood.

The outreach encouraged students to see education as a privilege and an opportunity to discover their potential, pursue their dreams, and build a brighter future through perseverance.

To make the day memorable, the teens led fun activities, taught the children a dance routine, invited them to draw their dream homes and future careers, and shared snacks
Through simple acts of love and encouragement, they reminded each child that they are valued and full of God-given potential.

📢 CHURCH-WIDE PRAYER AND FASTING

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:6-7

In light of the recent happenings within Nigeria and the church family, the Leadership of the Church is calling all members to a Day of Prayer and Fasting.

📅 Date: Monday, June 8, 2026

We also humbly ask for prayers from our brothers and sisters all over the world, standing with us in unity during this time.

May the Lord hear our prayers and grant us peace, healing, protection, and breakthrough—in Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you, and God bless you.
