New Hope United Methodist Church

New Hope United Methodist Church Formerly "First United Methodist Church of West Chicago." Join the journey of New Hope! We serve the communities of West Chicago, Winfield, and Warrenville.

Whoever you are wherever you are in your journey of faith, you are welcome in this place. New Hope United Methodist Church is a welcoming community that is one with Christ, one with each other, one in service to all. The First United Methodist Church of West Chicago, founded in 1835, blended with the First Congregational Church, organized in 1856, and began worshipping together in 2004. In 2023 Wi

nfield Community UMC joined First United UMC and "New Hope" was created. Our goal is to honor and respect traditions of both denominations, and to welcome all who wish to worship with us.

Join us in prayer for Spokane County, Washington, as the Upriver Fire continues to quickly spread across the region. Since the fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon, more than 200 acres have burned, nearly 12,000 residents in the densely populated area nearby have been evacuated, and 15 homes have been damaged, with thousands at risk.

As firefighters work to contain the fire, UMCOR is in communication with the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference disaster response coordinator. As the needs of those impacted become known, we stand ready to support their immediate and long-term responses to this disaster.

Lord, hear our prayers.

Today we recognize National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Did you know that across the US, Native women are murdered at 10x the national average? Or that an estimated 95% of cases identified by the Urban Indian Health Institute had not been covered by the mainstream media?

May 5th is a day for remembrance of those who we have lost and a call to action and justice for the women, girls, and two-spirit individuals whose stories remain untold. GCSRW stands in solidarity with you. No more stolen sisters.
