And the story continues with an amazing future. Passionate new owners Matt and Neha Myers with their family will begin transforming the Waint House into an amazing bakery...can't wait.

11/22/22: Today is a big day! The Historical Preservation Commission agreed to give us a "Certificate Of Appropriateness" for our plans to raise the floor & roof on the back building. Here is a VERY 'shopped and rough idea of what it may look like. The back roof-line will be extended and the wood will be painted white like the rest of the building (and the back which is infrequently seen). Big thank you to the members of the HPC who were helpful and encouraging of our plans! Also thank you to David J. Sabathne' from the West Chicago Community Center who had led the renovation effort and was at the meeting with us to represent the wealth of knowledge about the history and restoration of the building.

Thank you to the Warrenville Police Department for all you do for our community! Along with the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce, last Thursday and Friday we delivered a local favorite pizza and custom-designed cookies to 4 shifts over 2 days.

We are not done until we say Thank You to all of the Winfield Fire Department Team. On 24 off 48 means it takes 3-days. We're perfectly fine with that. Final meals delivered at 11:45 Friday. That means Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we said Thank You to all Winfield FD with meals from Coopers Corner. Thanks to all of those that supported this initiative...we have others to thank so, still not done!

On Friday May 22, the Western Dupage Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the West Chicago Community Center were able to deliver 50 masks to the West Chicago Police department through our joint fund raising initiative "Here for You".
