Markey, the Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus is a community organization for boys and girls grades K through 12.

​The Chorus is an educational outreach of the Kennett Symphony of Chester County and gives qualified singers an opportunity to perform high-caliber, age-appropriate repertoire that is culturally and musically diverse while nurturing vocal and musical development within a group settin

g. The Kennett Symphony Children's Chorus rehearses on the WCU campus every Tuesday evening from September through May, with a brief break over the December holidays.

We had a blast at our West Chester Children's Chorus summer pop-up sing! Our singers made new friends, and West Chester Borough and The Tomato Shack were super supportive. It was a joyful day of making music together in the community! Thank you to everyone that came out last night!

As we get ready to return to rehearsals, we’re continuing to look back on some of the beautiful music from our concert! “As I Grow” was composed by our music intern from West Chester University, Miles Cressley. We loved getting to bring his beautiful piece to life and can’t wait for another season of making music together! 🎶🎵💙💛

A look back at one of the songs from our Spring Concert 🎶

“Skye Boat Song” is a traditional Scottish folk song arranged by Greg Gilpin. The song tells the story of Prince Charles Edward Stuart escaping to the Isle of Skye after battle and has been passed down for generations through music and storytelling.

We loved performing this beautiful piece at our concert 💙

Months of hard work, growth, and dedication all came together in such a special way, and we couldn’t be more proud of every singer who brought their heart and confidence to the stage 🤍
