Have you ever wondered how things work or how to fix them yourself? Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into a week of hands-on fun at our Discover the Trade Secrets half-day camp! Youth, ages 8-18, are invited to join us at the Russellville Grange Hall in Oxford from June 22 to 26 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., to explore real-world skills and creative trades.

Campers will rotate through exciting, hands-on sessions led by experienced instructors, including:

💡Electrical: Try wiring a simple lamp.
🔧Plumbing: Learn basic pipe and hose repairs.
🪚Woodworking: Cut, assemble, and finish a project.
🔨Leathercraft: Create your own custom item.

The camp registration cost is $60. For youth who are not already enrolled in 4-H, an additional $30 4-H enrollment fee will be charged. Registration is required by June 17th at https://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/49567.

UPCOMING EVENT - 2026 Chester County 4-H MIT App Inventor Day Camp!

Join us for an engaging and educational workshop designed for youth aged 9 and older, where participants will learn to create fully functional mobile apps using MIT App Inventor, a user-friendly, visual programming environment that supports both Android and iOS platforms. This blocks-based coding tool enables beginners to develop their first app in under an hour, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. This hands-on workshop not only introduces the fundamentals of app development but also empowers young minds to address real-world challenges through technology, encouraging them to make a positive impact in their communities.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 20th, from 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM at the Chester County Government Service Center, 601 Westtown Road, Suite 351 W, West Chester, PA 19382. FREE for current 4-H members, For youth who are not already enrolled in 4-H, you may join 4-H for the $30 4-H enrollment fee charge.

Registration is limited to 12 registrants and is based on a first-come first-serve basis. Once the event is filled, youth can register to be added to the camp waitlist. Registration is required by June 16th at https://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/50013.

Sign up for a free, guided tour at the Chester County 4-H Fair! Join in the 4-H fun and see the animals and other 4-H projects! These public tours will be held on Tuesday, August 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Event Overview

The Regional 4‑H Fashion & Textile R***e Contest provides an opportunity for 4‑H members ages 8–18 (as of January 1) who are enrolled in fashion design, sewing and textiles, or fiber arts projects to showcase their work in a supportive, educational setting.

Participation is open to eligible 4‑H members from the following counties:
Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, and York.

4‑H members may enter both the Fashion R***e and Textile R***e contests.

Participants will present their item to judges, and both the item itself and the presentation will be evaluated.

Get ready for the sweetest day camp in Chester County! Youth, ages 8–18, are invited to spend the day learning the art and science of candy making at the 2026 Chester County 4‑H Candy Making Day Camp. Participants will explore a variety of candy‑making techniques, discover how science plays a role in sweet treats, and head home with plenty of delicious samples they’ve made themselves!

The Chester County 4-H Candy Making Day Camp will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Chester County Government Services Center, 601 Westtown Rd, Suite 370 West Chester, PA 19382.

The registration cost for the camp is $25. For youth who are not already enrolled in 4-H, there will be an additional $30 4-H enrollment fee charge. The registration fee covers all materials for workshop activities. A more detailed camp agenda will be shared with registrants closer to the time of camp. Registration is limited to 15 registrants and is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Once camp is filled, youth can register to be added to the camp waitlist.

Get ready for a fun, hands-on adventure into the world of companion and household pets! Youth ages 8-18 are invited to join us June 22–26 from 8:30–11:30 a.m. for this exciting, week-long, half-day camp.

From reptiles and fish to guinea pigs, rabbits, and more, campers will meet a variety of animals while discovering what it takes to care for them responsibly. This isn’t just watching, it’s all about getting involved, getting curious, and getting hands-on!

Join us for a fun, hands‑on Dog Sport Skills Clinic for youth, ages 8–18, and their canine partners! This 3.5‑day clinic is designed to help participants build confidence, teamwork, and skills across a variety of exciting dog sport disciplines, hosted by the Chester & Montgomery County 4-H Dog Clubs.

Registration is limited to 20 registrants and is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Once camp is filled, youth can register to be added to the camp waitlist. This camp is open to youth across the state, and participants may choose to stay overnight for the duration of the clinic.

The Dog Sport Skills Clinic will be held at the Chester County 4-H Center from June 24th to 27th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ends at noon on the 27th). Registration is required by June 12th at https://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/48474.

Get ready to fire up your cooking skills with 4‑H Grill It Up Tuesdays—a sizzling summer experience that blends outdoor cooking, food safety, and nutrition with hands‑on fun!

This four‑week virtual series builds confidence in outdoor cooking, leading up to a special in‑person cookout finale later in the summer. This program is open to 4‑H youth ages 8–18 and will be held on July 7, 14, 21, and 28.

Participants will learn the foundations of outdoor cooking while keeping safety, nutrition, and creativity front and center. Each week, participants will prepare one recipe at home with adult supervision, using a variety of outdoor cooking methods.
