The Shooting Sports: 4-H Air Pistol Club's fall session will be starting on October 21st!!!

The purpose of this club is to introduce members, ages 8 to 18, to the sport of air pistol where they will learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of fi****ms, the history of the pistol, shooting safety and range rules, parts of an air pistol, sight alignment & trigger control, shooting with a two-hand hold & one hand hold, and care and storage of equipment.

Club meetings are Wednesdays from October 21 to November 25, 2026, from 6:30-8:00 p.m at the Chester County 4-H Center in Honey Brook. Enrollment in the club is required at https://4h.zsuite.org.

Registration is now open for State Leadership Conference!

SLC is for 4-H teens who want to reach their top leadership potential! This annual conference is a favorite of many Pennsylvania 4-H members. Attending workshops, networking with other 4-H youth, and being inspired by keynote speakers encourages our 4-H teens to step into larger leadership roles in their clubs, community, and state!

The event will be held February 5-7 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. It's open to 4-H'ers ages 13-18.

The Chester County 4-H Archery Club will begin meeting on October 26th!

The purpose of this club is to introduce members, ages 8 to 18, to the sport of archery where they will learn the basic rules of safety, proper equipment selection and care, different shooting techniques, and the equipment necessary to become successful archers.

Club meetings are the 2nd and 4th Monday each month, from 6:30-8:00 p.m at the Chester County 4-H Center in Honey Brook. Enrollment in the Chester County 4-H Program is required at https://4h.zsuite.org.

Have you wanted to babysit but don't know how to get started? Chester County 4-H and the Phoenixville Recreation Department are partnering to offer a comprehensive one-day BABYSITTING CLASS!

The program will be held on Saturday, November 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at the Phoenixville Recreation Center, 501 Franklin Avenue Phoenixville, PA.

For youth ages 11 and older, this engaging course is designed to help participants develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to become responsible babysitters. Youth will learn essential caregiving techniques, basic first aid, safety practices, and tips for finding and managing babysitting jobs.

Registration is required by November 6. Current Chester County 4-H members can register at https://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/50899 . Those who are not currently 4-H members can register at https://4h.zsuite.org/external-event-registration/50899 .

Enrollment is limited to 25 participants and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the class reaches capacity, youth will automatically be placed on the waitlist. The cost is $35 per participant.

2026 State 4-H Horse Show Patterns have been posted!

These are the patterns, tests and courses that will be released prior to the show.
Additionally, all patterns, tests and courses will be distributed to exhibitors during the check in process at the show.

📢💥 The judge has elected to execute testing for the Hunt Seat Equitation on the Flat classes (8-11, 12-14 and 15-18) as part of the rail work. There is no written tests being released for those classes.

⚠️There is certainly a possibility for errors {since humans did make the patterns} so know that ALL FINAL POSTED PATTERNS, TESTS and COURSES should be reviewed at the horse show as well.
