We work to prevent violence by raising awareness and imparting skills through outreach & education. Our agency began in 1973, and since then we have helped thousands of victims in Chester County with immediate and continued help. The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. (CVC) is a private, community-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) comprehensive victim services agency. CVC is the designated pr

💙 Service Above Self in action.

This week, members of The Greater West Chester Sunrise Rotary Club and guests were honored to welcome Christine Zaccarelli, Chief Executive Officer of The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc., who shared the incredible work her organization has been doing for more than 50 years to support victims of crime and educate our community.

One image she stated from her presentation stayed with us.

"Imagine people falling into a river. Some people help pull them to safety and provide support and healing. Others walk upstream to discover why people are falling in...and work to repair the bridge.
That is the power of prevention."

From victim advocacy and counseling to child safety, healthy relationships, and education programs in our schools, the Crime Victim Center's work helps create safer and stronger communities throughout Chester County.

We are grateful to Christine for sharing her time, her insights, and the compassion that guides the work of the Crime Victim Center team every day.

Thank you for being that friendly face in the room for so many who need it most. ❤️

Congratulations to our friends at Open Hearth Inc. on this truly impressive milestone for Chester County! We are so proud to work alongside such amazing community partners!

Chester County has made chronic homelessness rare and brief, and proven it can stay that way.

Through years of coordination, real-time data, and a commitment to knowing every person experiencing homelessness by name, our community has built a system that houses people faster than new cases arise. That’s the functional zero milestone. That’s real progress.

This milestone represents real people, real coordination, and real progress toward making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
