This Is What We Build For.

There’s nothing quite like the moment our robot finally hits the field.

All the hours of designing, building, wiring, programming, testing, fixing, and fixing what we just fixed come down to a few minutes of pure adrenaline.

The music is loud. The crowd is cheering. The drive team is locked in. And suddenly, everything we worked for is moving.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House!
We loved giving you a tour of the Paul George STEM Center and showing off all the cool things our students get to learn, create, build, and experience at Lakota Robotics!

We’d love to welcome you back! Our FRC program is open to students in grades 7–12, and students are welcome to attend a couple of meetings to see if Lakota Robotics is the right fit for them.

📅 Monday & Wednesday: 6 PM–8 PM
📅 Saturday: 9 AM–Noon

Missed the Open House? No problem! You’re still welcome to stop by during one of our meetings for a tour!

Tomorrow’s the day!

Our students are READY to welcome you to the Lakota Robotics Open House! They’ve been preparing to give tours, show off our space, introduce you to our team, and share what makes 1038 so much more than just robots.

Open to students in grades 7–12! Haven’t registered yet? There’s still time! Registration is FREE, and so is the program.

The Difference Makers

Behind every robot is a group of people who chose to show up, teach, troubleshoot, encourage, and believe in students.

Our mentors aren’t paid. They volunteer their time, skills, evenings, weekends, and sometimes a whole lot of patience to help students turn ideas into something real.

They don’t just teach robotics. They help students learn how to solve problems, work through failure, communicate, lead, and keep going when things get tough.

The robot may be what you see on the field. Our mentors are part of what makes everything behind it possible. 💙💜

What if the biggest thing a student builds at robotics isn't the robot?

Maybe it's confidence.

Maybe it's communication skills.

Maybe it's the ability to walk into a room and say, “I have an idea.”

Maybe it's learning that failing at something doesn't mean you're bad at it.

That's why we do robotics. 🤖

1038 Why Day 💙💜

What’s your why? Today, our students and parents got a closer look at what makes Team 1038 special and got ready to welcome new students at our Open House next Saturday!

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents learned about FIRST and 1038, our fall schedule, and ways to get involved and volunteer.

🤖 Students received tour training, explored our subteams, and took part in team-building activities with prizes!

We’re excited to put all that preparation into action and show our community what Lakota Robotics is all about. See you at the Open House! 🚀
