The Barn at Spring Brook Farm provides animal-assisted and nature-based activities for children with We base every activity on each child’s particular needs.

The Barn at Spring Brook Farm is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, located in West Chester, PA. Our mission is to enrich the developmental skills and lives of children with disabilities through animal-assisted and natured-based experiences. We serve children ages 2-12 with physical, cognitive or developmental differences using activities with our small and miniature sized animals. The programs ar

e designed to help children with disabilities develop self-confidence and achieve therapeutic goals in a joyful, playful, beautiful atmosphere. Individual programs, summer camp, socialization events and educational field trips are all part of our unique programs.

What a great start to Camp Geronimo Summer 2026! 👉 Swipe to the last video to see what type of mood it put us in 🤭🌞

We celebrated Animals Around the World by:
🐴Meeting & Greeting our Barn animals
🐾Participating in a scavenger hunt to find animal tracks
🐯Playing in outdoor sensory stations to explore animals around the world
🌍Moving and grooving in a global dance party
🥋Learning karate taught by our Jr. Counselor, Everett
⚽Celebrating the World Cup in our soccer fields
🎉 and running through an obstacle course created by our FW Students from Drexel!
Our week wouldn’t be complete without some traditional favorite camp activities, including: visits from a fire truck, meeting the cows from Bailey’s Farm, tie dye, summer snow, practicing for the end of week talent show, and hayrides!

Lettuce tell you about our 1st crops of the season from our Chester County Food bank collab! 🥬🧑‍🌾
We recently donated 7 lbs of fresh spinach and lettuce from our gardens at The Barn to our garden partners at KACS
They are a wonderful organization that assists those who are hungry, homeless, or in a crisis by organizing opportunities to provide access to food, social services, and education ❤️

We are always honored to share what we grow at The Barn with the community around us and are very grateful for KACS’s partnership!

Jump back with us to 2011-2012: Camp Expands Even More!

⬜Camp expands to 6 weeks (2 wks in June, 1 wk in July reserved for the Royer Greaves School of the Blind, & 3 wks in August)

⬜8 children/week attended camp (40 children total + Royer Greaves school)
