Chester County Medical Society Physician Social (CCMS)

Please join CCMS at our next Scrum Happy Hour social which will be held at Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) on Tuesday, November 19th from 6PM-8 PM.

In the event that you are unaware, CVIM provides free healthcare services to people without insurance--- medical and behavioral health, dental services, health education, social services and dispensary services. CVIM is located at 300B Lawrence Drive, West Chester, Pa, 19380.

In addition to social interaction and discussions with your colleagues, CVIM will speak about their mission to our community, opportunities to volunteer, and provide tours of their facility.

A light dinner and drinks will be served at this event.

CCMS Board member, Winslow Murdoch, M.D. is running for Vice President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PaMed) for 2025. Elections will be held in Harrisburg the weekend of October 25-26th at the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. The term of Vice President is 1 year and begins January 1, 2025. Following completion of the term, the Vice President automatically assumes the role of President-Elect for the next year, and President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society in 2027.

As your Society, the CCMS Board fully endorses and supports Dr. Murdoch’s candidacy. For those of you who know Dr. Murdoch, you know that he is a dedicated patient advocate and compassionate doctor. He is committed to serving the medical needs of our community, and he is concerned and passionate about the problems and the state of medicine today.

Despite his incredibly busy life as a primary care provider, Dr. Murdoch has for many years volunteered whatever free time he has had to serve on the Board of the Chester County Medical Society. He has held several important roles as an officer including President of CCMS, and currently serves as Treasurer of the Society. He has also been a Delegate to the State Society multiple times over the last 15 years.

Dr. Murdoch understands the complexities and problems of medicine today, especially those of primary care. He is a creative problem solver who is willing to work to initiate change across the medical spectrum and government to help physicians survive in the current healthcare environment. He is very forward-thinking and has many ideas of what can and needs to be done to safeguard the future of medicine and physicians.

Please support the election of Dr. Murdoch as Vice President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and give him the opportunity to put his initiatives to work across the State of Pennsylvania!

📌 IT IS OUR ONLY PRIORITY.

Managed by a VOLUNTEER physician Board, we are the only physician association in Chester County. Our members are exclusively physicians—MDs and DOs in every specialty and across all stages of practice.

Affiliated with the Pennsylvania Medical Society, we offer our members CME, practice management resources and support, leadership programs, and a host of other benefits at no cost, including an entire lobbying division at the State level dedicated to promoting physician-friendly laws and legislators and electing more physicians to political office.

All Chester County physicians benefit from the work we do, although only our members financially support our initiatives. If you or your colleagues are not yet members, please support us and join the Chester County Medical Society.
