This past Saturday, From Fatherless to Fearless® was honored to participate in the 38th Annual Black Family Reunion Parade as a nonprofit partner of Fifth Third Bank!

It was a beautiful morning celebrating Black families, community, culture, and the organizations working every day to make Cincinnati stronger. And we had an extra special moment when our Founder & CEO, Candice Crear, had the opportunity to connect and snap a photo with Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval ! 📸

A huge thank you to Fifth Third Bank for your partnership and for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful Cincinnati tradition.

We’re proud to show up, stand together, and continue creating spaces where girls and young women can grow, heal, and become FEARLESS. 💜

We are honored to introduce Shaqunna Sardin, one of our inspiring 2026 Fearless Awards nominees! ✨

Shaqunna is a banking professional and community advocate dedicated to advancing financial literacy, career development, and economic empowerment. As a Treasury Management Client Support Specialist II and Community Engagement Champion at First Commonwealth Bank, she helps businesses achieve financial success while creating opportunities that strengthen individuals and communities.

After losing both of her parents, Shaqunna developed an incredible sense of strength, independence, and determination. Rather than allowing those early challenges to define her future, she used them as motivation to grow, lead, and serve others.

Now an MBA candidate at Northern Kentucky University, Shaqunna continues to pour her experiences into the next generation—mentoring aspiring leaders, championing community initiatives, and encouraging others to recognize their potential and embrace every opportunity before them.

Her story is a powerful reminder that adversity can become the foundation for purpose, leadership, and meaningful change. đź’—
