Hi everyone. Hope your spring is getting underway and I’m sure you are ready to get out and see the green grass and buds on the trees. We are scheduled to have a warmer than normal spring with a mild drought.
It’s been a while since I posted anything so please foregive me but we have said “so long” to some old friends and neighbors as they have moved on and some “welcome!” Salutations to our new friends.
We have some home building going on and renovations. Good luck to you and can’t wait to see your concluded projects. Thanks for checking with the association by laws.
Regarding the association, it’s being maintained and we have paid our dues to the county for dust control for the year and taxes. We are cash positive but not by much. If everyone pays we are good but I have to keep asking so we can pay the bills. So far so good..
Critters to be aware of:
Coyotes have retreated to the golf courses and no dens of note by the river. Wild turkeys are abundant and living between the Knollwood and Franklin hills golf club on Inkster along the ravine.
The ravine is the life of the animals and they transverse it. Don’t be surprised if you see a rare animal or even something you are scared of. I’ve seen quite a bit of migratory birds and mammals (woodcock, sandhill cranes, great blue herons, red fox, rare ducks). Don’t be scared. Dog barks and allium family of flowers will keep the turkey and deer away from gardens. Keep planting and growing!
Finally, enjoy it. You’ve earned your small piece of heaven in our neighborhood. It’s rare and special. I hope this season finds you well and healthy. God bless!
