Team NJFOP Strong 2026

Team NJFOP Strong 2026 I am honored to humbly announce my candidacy for President of the New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police. I look forward to earning your vote! Ford
NJFOP Secretary

For years, the New Jersey FOP has been a beacon of strength, advocacy and brotherhood for law enforcement officers across our state. With a tip of my cap to our past and soon to be past Presidents, we've built a strong foundation on the principles of representation, legislation, education, and wellness. This foundation isn't just a metaphor, it's the tireless work of every single member who has de

dicated themselves to our shared mission. As your next President, I and my team commit to building upon this remarkable legacy. We'll continue to fight for fair wages and fair pensions, comprehensive and affordable benefits, and the resources you need to do your jobs safely and effectively. We'll strengthen our legislative advocacy, ensuring that the voices of New Jersey's finest are heard loud and clear in Trenton and beyond. Above all, I believe deeply that the New Jersey FOP is, and always will be, a member-driven organization. Your concerns, your idea and your well-being will be at the forefront of every decision made. I am here to listen, to collaborate, and to lead with the collective wisdom of our membership guiding our path forward. Together, we can ensure the New Jersey FOP remains a powerful force for good, protecting those who protect our communities. Thank you for your trust, your support, and your dedication. Fraternally,
James E.

As Newark Lodge 12 mourns the loss of one of its own, we stand firmly beside our brothers and sisters during this difficult time. Even in the face of grief, the men and women of the Newark Police Department continue to answer the call, protecting both the citizens they serve and the officers who serve alongside them. Our thoughts, prayers, and unwavering support remain with Lodge 12, the Magny family, and every member of Newark PD.

Today, I ask for prayers for NJFOP Vice President James Stewart Jr., the men and women of the Newark Police Department, and all law enforcement officers who stand the line in Newark.

With the recent release of individuals who were arrested during prior demonstrations, there is concern that future protests may be further emboldened and tensions may continue to rise. Regardless of the circumstances, our officers will once again answer the call, placing themselves between order and chaos while protecting the rights and safety of everyone involved.

Please join me in praying for their wisdom, restraint, courage, and most importantly, their safety. Pray that peaceful voices prevail, that violence is rejected, and that every officer goes home safely to their family at the end of their shift.

We can disagree on issues. We can debate policy. But no one should ever be threatened, injured, or targeted for serving and protecting their community.

God bless and protect our officers, and may He bring peace to our cities.

Secretary James E. Ford

Secretary Ford was honored to be present in support of South Jersey Lodge 56 at their annual Cow Plop event — a day filled with fellowship, laughter, and great memories.

A sincere thank you to President Branagan and the members of Lodge 56 for hosting such a fantastic event and for their warm hospitality. Events like these remind us that the strength of the Fraternal Order of Police is found not only in advocacy and service, but in the camaraderie and brotherhood we share.

And of course… a special thank you to Lulu the cow for answering the call of “doodie” and helping make the day a memorable success! 🐄💩

Thank you again, Lodge 56, for a great event and continued support.
