If you’ve been dealing with an ongoing mobility or daily living need, purchasing equipment out of pocket can get expensive quickly. A free equipment opportunity like this may be a great way to find what you need without the added cost.

Independence First is hosting a Free Adaptive Equipment Giveaway with gently used equipment available to community members who could benefit from it.

Equipment may include wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, shower chairs, transfer benches, and more.

This June, we proudly celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the h.e.l.p Corner ! 🎉

For the past decade, the program has provided durable medical equipment and support to members of our community when they need it most, helping individuals maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, donors, and supporters who have helped make the h.e.l.p Corner such a meaningful community resource over the last 10 years. Here’s to continuing to serve, support, and strengthen our community together. 💙

What an incredible night at the Volunteer Center’s Champions of Change event! 💙

Our Help Corner volunteers were honored with the Ziegler Team Spirit Award, and we couldn’t be more proud of the compassion, teamwork, and heart they bring to our community every day.

Thank you to the Volunteer Center for creating such a meaningful space to celebrate the impact of volunteers and the good happening all around us. We’re so grateful to be part of it!

Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers to independence for older adults. Through a strong network of volunteers, they provide transportation and supportive services that help seniors remain independent and age safely in place.
They are currently looking for volunteer drivers for longer distances, wheelchair-accessible transportation, and seasonal yard work assistance.

The h.e.l.p. Corner began in 2016 as a collaborative effort between Interfaith Caregivers, The Threshold, and the ADRC to improve access to essential medical equipment.
This volunteer-run program provides short-term loans of medical equipment, helping community members maintain mobility and independence. It also promotes sustainability through the reuse of quality equipment. This program is available to anyone in the listening area including those in need of pediatric equipment. They also accept donations of new or like-new medical equipment that align with their inventory needs.
