Mark your calendar for: GivingTuesday - December 1, 2026.
Only 62 days away!

GivingTuesday is the day when millions of people around the world pause and ask, “What can I give?” and “How can I help?” — in hopes of turning those questions into action in the communities they care about.

If you’ve heard of GivingTuesday but only think of it only as “a day of fundraising,” you’re not alone, but you’re missing out on the full picture.

GivingTuesday isn’t a single 24-hour fundraising flash sale. It’s a year-round, worldwide movement built on the idea that generosity, whether that’s in the form of money, time, voice, goods or skill, can reshape communities when people show up and do something together.

So, mark your calendars now - Tuesday, Dec 1

Hope Without Borders would like to pay our respects to Dolly Parton. She was beyond an amazing individual that brought the world with her through the Imagination Library!

Reading is an important skill to learn so children can explore the world around them. One book, one child, one dream at a time has grown into a worldwide gift of literacy, inspiring a love of reading in over 270 million children in 5 countries.

Although, HWB is not that large we also continue to give the gift that keeps on giving - Books and Reading! Every child deserves the joy of books, no matter where they come from and we are proud to say, we now distributed over 11,000+ books in 5 countries.

If you are interested in giving the gift that keeps on giving Books Without Borders (keep in mind there are several Books Without Borders online) would love to hear from you. Drop us a message; send us an email to [email protected]; or donate directly at www.hwb-intl.org/donate.

And to Dolly, thank you for showing us how to Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Be More and inspiring a lifelong love of reading! 📚

Today we are asking you for support. We have 1.5 K followers who we hope have been inspired by all the amazing things that are happening.

With the rising cost of living, monetary donations are down. We need YOUR help to continue our mission of helping those in need.

Even if half of you donated $10-$25/month we can continue doing our work. Please consider being a monthly donor and thank you!

We appreciate that you want to help support us and the work we do with the needy. Without donors like you, we would not be able to provide access to clean water, medical care and educational opportunities. THANK YOU from the bottom of our heart. Please click the BLUE button below to donate today.

Maintaining a cool body temperature is crucial at this time, particularly for individuals experiencing hardship and homelessness who lack access to air conditioning.

If you or someone you know requires a cooling location, the Milwaukee Health Department offers a resource to locate nearby cooling sites across the Greater Milwaukee area:
https://city.milwaukee.gov/Health/Cooling-Sites.

- Consume water regularly throughout the day.

- Seek air conditioning whenever possible.

- Avoid consuming caffeine and alcohol as they exacerbate dehydration.

- Verify the well-being of vulnerable neighbors, friends, and family.

- Prioritize your health and safety during this period.

Stay safe as this heat wave continues. If you know of additional sites, please add them to comments.

Affordable land and leasing costs, abundant fresh water, an educated workforce, low business costs and easy access to financing, technical assistance and efficient transportation have helped local businesses succeed and grow.

On July 4, 2026, the United States will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

This significant milestone offers a chance to pause and consider our nation's heritage, recognize the accomplishments of all Americans, and envision the future we strive to create for generations that follow.
