Forever Honoring Our Washington County Veterans
In order to raise funds to create an endowment fund to provide for the flags at Veterans graves in perpetuity and to create a Memorial for the Iraq and Afghanistan Conflict Veterans, Washington County, Wisconsin Administrator and Iraq Veteran Josh Schoemann; EHS Manager at Menasha Packaging and Iraq & Afghanistan Veteran Justin Reichert; Jodi Schoemann; and County Clerk Ashley Reichert will be walking from the southwest corner to the northeast corner of Washington County on Saturday, May 25 (Memorial Day weekend). The goal for the event would be $150,000, with the proceeds going directly to the endowment and the memorial. A huge thank you to our planning committee members: Deputy County Administrator Matt Furno, Maureen Furno, Sheriff Martin Schulteis, Shelly Schulteis, Veterans Services Officer Kurt Rusch, and Public Affairs Coordinator Ethan Hollenberger.
