Here we showcase one of the many fundraisers the VFW Post 1393 does to support our fellow Veteran organizations. The VFW West Bend is donating part of its 1st Annual Golf Outing, $3000 towards "The Wall" which was built in Watertown this year by a few Veteran organizations in their area. Presenting the $3K check is Commander Mark Felix to Marine Veteran Gary Steber, who was one of the organizers that made "The Wall" possible.
The Wall can be found at the Marine Corps League Aero Park (984 Boomer St., Watertown, WI), near the Watertown Municipal Airport.
It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round with overnight illumination.
It's the largest Midwestern replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall north of St. Louis and features more than 58,000 etched names of service members who lost their lives or remain missing during the Vietnam War.
The Wall was dedicated on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. The site also includes other tributes, such as a 9/11 memorial featuring replicas of the World Trade Center towers, statues, and memorial plaques.
