The City of West Bend Tourism Commission awarded a New Major Event Grant to the Downtown West Bend Association to support the launch of a Christkindl Markt, planned for Nov. 28-30, 2025, in downtown West Bend.

The DWBA received the full $20,000 grant to host this German-style Christmas market in partnership with the West Bend Noon Rotary Club over Thanksgiving weekend. The event will feature authentic wooden vendor stalls, a heated tent, German food and drink—including glühwein (hot mulled wine)—live entertainment, holiday shopping, and traditional décor. With a planned location on 6th Avenue near Old Settlers Park, the Christkindl Market will coincide with the start of Enchantment in the Park, which runs Nov. 28-Dec. 24 this year, and will make a fitting precursor to the annual West Bend Christmas Parade that will take place on Sunday evening, Nov. 30, 2025.
