They have been enjoying this field the most lately. This is considered home base for them as their water, minerals and feeding stalls are in this field. They have some work to do on the fields next to this that are open to them before we open anything else up for them.

Sophia has been the hardest of the babies to handle. She didn’t have the best beginning as she had some health issues and with that came some not so fun shots, temp checks, enemas and more. Those first few days/weeks she wanted to kick any human that tried to touch her. She’s now learning that those humans can provide a pretty nice scratching service and with that comes more desensitizing for being able to touch her entire body.

Harper had a rough start when she was born at the end of April. She was only 130lbs and was considered a failure to thrive/dummy foal. She needed life saving plasma and bc she was not nursing well she was bucket fed formula. Well she knows what her little pink bucket has in it for her morning milk. She’s doing great! 😊

Update: we are $160 away from fulfilling this goal! Thank you 😊

Every year for part of our fly control program we utilize fly predators in the pastures that the horses are in for the summer.

These itty bitty bugs eat fly larva essentially stopping a flies life cycle. We have seen a huge difference in the fly population by having a subscription tailored to our needs sent us weekly!

This year our subscription cost us $1100 for the season. A heavy price but the comfort and relief from biting flies is well worth the cost. We want the horses to be comfortable and relaxed during the heat of summer!

Currently we have $700 pledged towards this bill (Thank you Laura & Barb!) and would love to raise the remaining funds. Would you help us keep the horses comfortable? We would be so appreciative!
