It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and coworker, Dave Martin, who passed away yesterday.

Dave was a dedicated carrier at the West Milwaukee Post Office and will be deeply missed by his postal family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

We will share details regarding funeral and memorial services as soon as they become available.

Rest in peace, Dave. You will not be forgotten.

It is unfortunate that mail is being intentionally delayed in the Milwaukee installation without a legitimate operational reason.

Many managers have stated that mail is not being delivered because of a 5:30 PM cutoff. However, there is nothing in the National Agreement or USPS handbooks that permits leaving mail and packages undelivered solely because it is after 5:30 PM.

The Postal Service's mission is to provide reliable service to the public. Deliberately delaying mail and packages undermines that mission and negatively impacts the customers who depend on timely delivery, especially those who depend on the USPS to deliver their medication.

Our customers deserve better, and employees should not be put in a position where arbitrary time targets take precedence over service.

I suppose the Bradley Station being on the news wasn't embarrassing enough. Maybe the media should really pull back the cover and investigate it all.
