WDA and Professional Insurance Programs staff teamed up to volunteer at Milwaukee Diaper Mission this month. Together, we helped pack distribution orders totaling more than $7,000 worth of essential products to families in our community. In addition, we wrapped 3,300 diapers, providing enough diapers to support 132 families!

Today is National Bow Tie Day, the perfect day to announce that one of the WDA’s most dapper dentists – Dr. Patrick Tepe (Dodgeville) - is the recipient of the 2026 WDA Lifetime Achievement Award!

Dr. Tepe, current chair of the WDA Legislative Advocacy Committee, served as WDA president from 2018-19 and Region 5 Southwest trustee from 2012-16. His dedication to organized dentistry includes leadership as president of the Greater Dane Dental Society; service on numerous committees and ADA and WDA House delegations; and participation in key events such as WDA Legislative Day, ADA Lobby Day and the WDA Foundation Mission of Mercy. He was instrumental in bringing the 2027 MOM back to Madison and is serving as local and fundraising lead. Dr. Tepe received the Pyramid of Pride Award of Honor in 2014, Media Relations Award in 2019 and Political Action Award in 2022. He is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists.

A very warm welcome to Marquette University School of Dentistry’s Class of 2030! 🦷🎉

WDA Executive Director Brenna Sadler had a great morning talking with these future dentists alongside leaders from Marquette’s chapter of the American Student Dental Association. All Marquette dental students are ASDA members, so today was a chance to introduce the D1s to both organizations – and of course, share the highly coveted WDA pizza cutter. Because let’s be honest: four years of dental school means these students are going to need a lot of frozen pizza. 😉

Say "hi" to Dr. Kurt Hulse, a general dentist in Onalaska! Dr. Hulse was last week's recipient of the Thank You Thursday member recognition package. He has been a WDA member for 31 years.

In his free time, he enjoys painting and drawing. He also loves the outdoors, sports and travel.

Congratulations to Dr. Glenn Gequillana, a general dentist in Greenfield, on being named the WDA Award of Honor recipient!

Dr. Gequillana was nominated for going above and beyond for his patients. He served on the WDA Editorial Advisory Board for several years and graduated from the inaugural WDA Leadership Academy in 2015.
