Hey there neighbors! For those of you who shared an interest in book clubs and helping small business- here is a great new opportunity! We hope to see you there.

I am trying to read more, but I am an embarrassingly slow reader. I am going to give this a shot. It is also a great way to support Story Keepers Books, a local small business so… feel free to join me! 📖 🐢

We're Back!

By popular request, LHPNA Community Connections is returning!

Join us Saturday, July 18 from 10–11 AM at Lake Effect Coffee to meet the new board, connect with neighbors, and hear about an exciting new Pollinator Prairie Project coming to Liberty Heights Park.

Grab a coffee, support a local business, and learn how you can get involved. We even have a few special guests joining us!

- Look for the LHPNA sign—we can't wait to see you there!

Juneteenth: A Day of Freedom and Reflection

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

The day reminds us that freedom requires more than laws. It requires information, opportunity, and communities willing to ensure those rights are accessible to all.

As we recognize Juneteenth, let us reflect on the importance of learning from history, sharing knowledge, and building welcoming communities where every person is treated with dignity and respect.

Freedom grows when knowledge is shared, barriers are removed, and opportunities are expanded.
