School zone speed cameras expanding to New Tampa.
Good article on the big win that this will be for safety for our children in New Tampa: Turner-Bartels K-8, Benito Middle, Liberty Middle/Freedom High and Chiles Elementary have been flagged for camera installation.
When this program began, I pushed for more involvement for New Tampa schools, as speeding is a major issue in these neighborhood schools.
This passed first reading and we still have second reading to go. But when this passes, this will be a major win for safety for our kids in New Tampa.
