We are pleased to announce Parker Galvan from Weslaco East High School as a Pete and Terry Abrigo Memorial Scholarships recipient. Parker was an active member of his FFA chapter and 4-H club, top of his graduating class, is a drone-certified pilot, and volunteers in his community.
He will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall majoring in Plant and Soil Science with a focus on plant genetics. After college, Parker plans to return to the Rio Grande Valley improving sugarcane genetics and creating a collaborative farming community. Jackson is noted to have a “dale para de lante” (just keep moving forward) attitude and a young man who is a role model for others.

We are pleased to announce Arianna Eastridge from Rockdale High School as a Pete and Terry Abrigo Memorial Scholarships recipient.
Arianna was valedictorian of her senior class, president of the FFA Chapter, head drum major, cheer captain, and president of the student council, and volunteers at her church and other community events like Earth Day Clean-Up.
She will be attending the University of Texas at Austin in the fall pursuing a degree in pharmacy. Arianna is noted by her teachers as a student with a “winning attitude full of drive and perseverance that goes unparalleled”.
