Big things are happening at the Village Closet! 🎉 We recently helped three foster families with much-needed essentials—including clothing for three foster kiddos for next season! 💛👕 It truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful to be part of theirs!

✨ October Foster Parent Respite Day! ✨

Need a little time to recharge? Drop off the kids for two fun-filled hours at Enchanted Playroom while you enjoy a well-deserved break! 💙

Open to kinship, foster, and adopted children ages 0–8. Registration is required for each child, and space is limited!

🍿 Snacks will be provided. If possible, please send your child with a water bottle. Water fountains will also be available.

This week we're highlighting a fantastic local resource for families in St. Charles County! 💙
The St. Charles County Ambulance District offers FREE car seat installation and safety inspections by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
Whether you've welcomed a new placement, received a different car seat, or just want to make sure your child's seat is installed correctly, this is an excellent resource for peace of mind.
Services include:
🚗 Car seat installation assistance
✅ Car seat safety inspections
👶 Education from certified technicians
Sometimes the smallest safety check can make the biggest difference.

💙 The Village showed up for another little one! 💙

We had the privilege of helping another foster family who recently welcomed a new baby into their home! 🍼👶 Thanks to the incredible donations that fill our Village Closet, we were able to send them home with some of the essentials they needed to make this transition a little easier.

This is exactly why It Takes A Village exists—to make sure foster families know they don’t have to do this alone. 💛

Our 60-day goal is 90 bags of shoes, which could raise approximately $1,000 for It Takes A Village!

🚨 SPOTS JUST OPENED UP! 🚨

We’ve had a few cancellations for our Sky Zone Respite Event THIS SATURDAY, which means we still have room for a few more kiddos! 💙🙌

🍕 Pizza provided!

Open to children ages 4–12 who are potty trained.

If your family could use a couple hours of respite while the kids jump, play and have some fun — we’d love to have them! 🫶

✨ LOOK WHAT OUR VILLAGE HAS DONE! ✨

From January 12th to September 16th, our community has shown up in ways we never could have imagined. 💙💛

In just 8 months, together we have:
💙 Given 110 kids a chance to have fun at 4 Respite Events
👕 Helped 44 families clothe 91 kids through our Village Closet
🐣 Provided 147 Easter baskets
🎓 Offered 20 hours of training
🏠 Raised enough through our Rent Buddy program to cover 9.5 months of rent for the Village Closet!

And those numbers don’t even tell the whole story. 🥹 We’ve received backpacks, school supplies, totes, clothing, beds, car seats, toys, monetary donations and SO much more — all going directly toward supporting foster, adoptive and kinship families in our community.

Every donation. Every volunteer. Every share. Every person who has told someone about us. YOU are part of this. 🫶

We started with a belief that it takes more than love. And every day, this community proves that it truly takes a village. 💛
