The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Wenham Sidewalk Mapping Eagle Service Project

Saturday and Sunday, December 20 & 21, 10:00am

Patrick Crockett, Troop 28 Wenham LIFE Sout, is leading a sidewalk mapping project for Wenham to help compete for a grant to improve the town’s sidewalks. He will be meeting this weekend to coordinate volunteers to walk sidewalk routes of approximately 2 miles. The route will be recorded and the sidewalk condition documented on a smartphone app. The public is welcome to attend and assist.

When:

Sunday, December 21, 10:00am

Where:
Troop 28 Scout Barn
91 Grapevine Rd.
Wenham

We’ll meet at 10:00am each day to go over the plan and safety briefing. Then groups and routes will be assigned. We are planning the routes to be 2 miles. If you would like to walk longer, we can accommodate you. If you are able to bring a smartphone, please do so as there is an app that we will be using. There will also be refreshments supplied.

Scouts and individuals under the age of 18 should attend with a parent.

This effort should take around two-hours.
