Tour de Bloom

After a GREAT day at the Taco Time Volunteer Park Crit, and the conversations I had, I want to propose that we look at...

M 2/3 as a 4 Day Omnium, with the ability to add the TT on Monday, as well as add the Ed Farrar Queen Stage on Tuesday.

Same for the 35+ 3/4 and M 40+ 1-4

The Road Race on Tuesday will be a combined field of M 2/3, M 35+, and 40+ being scored separately.

ALL ROAD RACES WILL BE ROLLING ENCLOSURE with 75 racers signed up by March 1.

Thoughts? This gives the guys that want to race 6 days the opportunity to do so, and those that can only do 4, the ability to race full road?

Looking for some conversations...
..we are considering TWEAKING the Masters "A" field, and offering a 6 day Omnium. This would include...

-Hill Climb
-2 Laps in Waterville
-60 Minute Crit
-3 Laps in Plain
-1 climb over Joe Miller at the Ed Farrar Queen Stage.

ALL 3 Road Stages would be Full Road with a rolling enclosure.

The Cats we would offer this to would be

M Master 35+ 3/4

M Master 40+ 1-4

The 40+ group would be part of the USA Masters Cup, and would have their scores turned in for the National Competition.

I would have to have 75 racers signed up by March 1, 2027 to be able to ensure the rolling enclosure, as we would have to add 2 law enforcement officers, a com 2 ref and driver, a moto ref, and Nuetral Wheel support.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Is this something that the Masters want?

Today was an awesome day on the mountain, with the final stage of Tour de Bloom wrapping up right here in the Base Area after an action-packed 6 days of racing. As the athletes tore up the Squilchuck Road ascent, we took advantage of a quiet moment to catch up with Race Director Ace Bollinger. Congratulations to all the riders and the team that puts on this event, and we look forward to seeing the Tour de Bloom crew again next year!
