Last week at Walking for Wellness, we hung out with Flint!

This 3 yo Siberian Husky is a goofy guy with lots of energy and curiosity. Flint is always ready to make you smile with his playful personality and loving nature. He adores attention and is happiest when he's spending time with his people - whether that's playing, going for a walk, or curling up for some cuddles

Flint is available for adoption at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society! www.wenatcheehumane.org/dogs

Join us for a brisk walk and warm conversation from 8:30-9:30am tomorrow with another adoptable dog. We meet at Pybus Public Market.

Thanks to Araceli and Jose, local leaders and CAFE volunteers, for hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness event at Carnitas Michoacán in October!

Speakers Deena Snyder & Stacey Vander Vloedt from Columbia Basin Hospital/Columbia Basin Family Medicine, and Dr. Nicolas Ku**er from Confluence Health shared what cancer is, self-screenings, treatment strategies, and why it's all important. Rosa from Wellness Place shared her own cancer journey, and we were able to provide cancer support services for the region.

Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in women. Early detection saves lives.

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated 👏

Meet Megan, a compassionate changemaker whose warmth, integrity, and inclusive spirit have long inspired those around her. These qualities have carried through her breast cancer journey, which is why she was honored as a 2025 NCW Cancer Hero.

Megan has been a dedicated leader and advocate on the Wellness Place Board, strengthening local cancer support services through events, fundraising, and wise counsel. Even while facing her own cancer journey with courage and grace, Megan continues to embody hope and compassion. This week at Walking for Wellness, we hung out with Ace again!

This well-mannered Siberian Husky impressed us all with his list of tricks: sit, stay, come, down, and give paw. Ace is 8, and he's been waiting since July to bring his love and dog smarts to his forever home. He is available for adoption at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society!

Join us for a brisk one-hour walk, warm conversation with your cancer community, and enjoy the fall colors while walking adoptable dogs every Tuesday morning. We meet at 8:30am at Pybus Public Market.
