Apple Century Bike Ride

Apple Century Bike Ride A non-profit bike ride with 100, 50, and 25 mile route options. Benefits the Challenge Scholarship Program through Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary.

Participants in this year’s bike ride, after leaving our usual starting point of Walla Walla Point Park, will follow along the Wenatchee River as it winds through the orchards and vineyards of Monitor, Cashmere, Dryden and Peshastin as they make their way to the world famous Bavarian village of Leavenworth. It’s here that our 50-mile enthusiasts will embark on their return trek, while the 100-mile

rs will continue on, meandering through the foothills of the eastern edge of the Cascade Mountains on their way to our turn-around pit stop, the Lake Wenatchee Fire Station. Lake Wenatchee State Park is a great place to camp and recreate. The park contains 489 acres with 12,623 feet of waterfront located on glacier-fed Lake Wenatchee and the Wenatchee River. More than five miles of equestrian trails are in and around the park. A concession offers horses for rent for day rides or overnight pack trips. Year round recreation opportunities abound, including swimming, boating and hiking in the spring/summer and cross-country skiing, snow playing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and sledding in the winter. Convenient water stops are located along the route as well as the two main pit stops (Cascade High School, Leavenworth – 25 miles; and, Nason Creek Campground – 50 miles). Also, SAG wagons will be implemented at various points along the route to assist with riders needing assistance. We hope you’ll join us this year to see another side of our area you may have missed in the past.
