👉 We are looking for help with watering the Main Street flower planters this summer!

🌻 Planters have already been placed along Main Street and each planter was filled when placed. However, they require 3-5 gallons be added each week after to maintain their water supply, especially on the hotter, dryer days. ℹ️ The planters are split into groups of 5 or 6. You will need to be able to bring your own watering jugs/cans — we have used everything from gallon milk/water jugs to larger portable water tanks in the past, but whatever you have will work. We do have two locations on Main Street where they can be filled if you’d rather not fill them at home (more information will be provided after we have compiled our volunteers for the season). If you're able to help, you will need to check the box for each week you’re available to water. Although it shows Monday at 8am, you’re welcome to water anytime within that week timeframe.

The Wellsville Development Corporation has grown our Main Street Flower Planter efforts over the years from small, handmade wooden planters to new, larger, easier to maintain planters that are 100% USA/New York State made and feature a bottom-up self-watering system! The planters are lovingly filled and designed by East Wind Landscape Nursery and hold a variety of beautiful plants that bring vibrant greenery and big blooms to Main Street all spring and summer! While gorgeous, this project is expensive and so we're asking for your help in maintaining these lovely planters which bring smiles to many. The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its Annual Awards Dinner & Community Celebration, taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Wellsville Country Club.

This signature event is a highlight of the community calendar, bringing together local business leaders, educators, first responders, volunteers, and residents for an evening dedicated to celebrating the people and organizations that make Wellsville a vibrant place to live, work, and thrive.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 5:00pm, followed by a buffet dinner at 6:00pm, and the presentation of the Chamber’s annual community awards.

The Chamber is pleased to recognize the following 2026 award recipients:
• Business of the Year – Kent Beer Company
• New Business of the Year – The Solutions Hub
• Community Service Award – Tim Colligan
• Caregiver Service Award – Dr. Zahi Kassas
• Educator of the Year – Larry Peacock
