🦌 BASE CAMP ALPHA – 2026 TROPHY DEER HUNT APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN! 🇺🇸

It's that time of year again!!!

Base Camp Alpha is officially accepting applications for our 2026 Annual Trophy Deer Hunts in Jackson, Ohio.

This year, we are preparing to host multiple trophy deer hunt weekends, providing selected veterans and first responders an opportunity to step away from everyday life, spend a weekend outdoors, and enjoy the camaraderie and connection that have become such an important part of Base Camp Alpha.

These weekends aren't measured only by what comes out of the woods.

They're measured by the conversations around the fire, the friendships made, the stories shared, and the experience of simply being outdoors with good people.

WHO CAN APPLY?

🇺🇸 Veterans & Active-Duty Military
🚔 Law Enforcement
🚒 Fire Service
🚑 EMS
🛡️ Corrections & other eligible first responders

No extensive hunting experience is required.

First-time and experienced hunters are both encouraged to apply. Whether you've harvested dozens of deer or you're hoping for your first opportunity, we want to hear from you.

There is no cost to apply or participate if selected.

Join Commander Stabler in his 250 Challenge. You can also join the American Legion 250 Challenge as well. Our Post Commander is doing the 250 hour challenge on the National program and 250 miles on his local challenge.

What an amazing day. 300 food boxes distributed to those in need across most of Jackson and Vinton Counties.

We are blessed with a wonderful team of members of the Wellston Legion Post 371, the Wellston Auxiliary Information Page Post 371 and Sons of the American Legion Wellston Post 371 who all help the Jackson County Voiture 40/8 every year to help take care of needy families in our community.

We couldn’t do this without their support and those of all the youth from Wellston City School District and Jackson City Schools - Jackson,Ohio.

We feel blessed and are humbled by all of these efforts.
