🎄✨ Wellston Junior Study Club Christmas Dinner ✨🎄

We had a wonderful time celebrating the season at our Christmas Dinner that was beautifully decorated and graciously hosted by Nancy Riley and Cindy Wagner.

A special thank you to Becky Stabler and Max Stabler for catering such a delicious dinner that everyone enjoyed. After our meeting, we adjourned for a fun filled evening with a festive gift exchange and a delightful cookie exchange that truly captured the holiday spirit.

So thankful for great food, great fun, and even greater fellowship. Merry Christmas from the Wellston Junior Study Club! 🎁🍪🎄

Wellston Jr Study Club is raffling off this lottery wreath, containing over $330 worth of scratch off lottery tickets! All proceeds from the raffle will be applied toward a scholarship that will be presented to a WHS graduate. We are selling the tickets at $10 each. The drawing will be held live on Facebook during our meeting on December 15, 2025.

We will be selling tickets through December 12, 2025. Tickets are available from any club member listed below:

The Wellston Junior Study Club enjoyed a wonderful holiday meal on December 16, 2024, , hosted by Sharon McWilliams and Bonnie Holzapfel. The annual Christmas dinner features amazing food and fellowship, along with an ornament exchange and cookie swap. Eighteen members were in attendance.

Flowerland was the site of the November meeting, held on the 18th at 7 p.m. Hosted by Michelle Canter and Maria DeCastro, the program was a "Make & Bake Auction" to raise money for the Scholarship fund. Members also donated a toy for the Wellston FD toy drive. Refreshments were served and $488 was raised for the fund.

On October 21, 2024, the Wellston Junior Study Club held its first meeting of the 2024-2025 season at the home of Mrs. Kim Burroughs, co-hosted by Mrs. Martha Derrow. In honor of Halloween fun, the members wore various “witch” hats and enjoyed themed refreshments and decor. Guest speaker Amanda Robinson gave an inspiring talk about her work with Faith & Fitness Wellston, which offers free fitness classes to all ages and fitness levels. Mrs. Robinson stated that Faith & Fitness hopes to target not only physical fitness, but mental and spiritual health as well, through accessible exercise and fellowship. The Wellston location is at 108 E. 1st Street, with locations in Jackson and many other areas too.

We held our annual year end BUNCO meeting last night and we had a great time, as usual. It’s been a great year with both old and new friends! Hope everyone enjoys their summer!

On Monday, April 15th, we held our monthly meeting, hosted by Nancy Riley and Cindy Wagner. After the business portion of our meeting, we enjoyed a very informative presentation with speaker Courtney McManus about the ROX program, Ruling Our Experiences. Our next meeting will be on Monday, May 20th at 6:30 pm (note time change) at the home of Bonnie Holzapfel. This meeting will be our final meeting of the 23-24 year. It is our fun annual BUNCO game night and is also bringing a guest night. Everyone please bring an appetizer. Hope to see you there!
