TLC Ministries has been serving Jackson county for 19 1/2 years as a food pantry and free meals for kids locations.

But did you know it is also the home of the newest cafe in Wellston/ Jackson county? The FYT Stop Cafe’ is open to the public serving fresh home made breakfast all day, daily lunch specials, soups, sandwiches, baked goods and so much more. And all proceeds go back to help fund the pantry and kids programs.

🥛🍎 SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS IS RETURNING 🍎🥛

Since 2009, TLC Ministries has worked to make sure children in our community have access to food during the summer months. What started years ago as a small effort has grown into a program that has helped feed thousands of local children and families.

This summer, we are preparing once again to provide each registered child with:
✅ 7 Breakfasts
✅ 7 Lunches
✅ Milk
— every week throughout the program.

Over the past year, our ministry has faced some major transitions and challenges. After becoming our own independent nonprofit organization, we experienced significant funding changes and loss of support that we previously relied on.

Even during those difficult times, we continued serving meals after school because we knew families were counting on us. We carried those costs as long as we possibly could because no child should go hungry simply because funding falls short.

Now, as we work through the approval process for this summer, we are facing more hurdles than ever before. We are doing everything we can to continue this program for our community, but the reality is this:

Programs like this only survive when communities come together to support them.

That is why sponsors, donors, businesses, churches, and community partners are so important right now. Your support does not just help our ministry — it helps feed local children.

We are hopeful and working hard behind the scenes to finalize everything. Registration information, start dates, and our Jotform sign-up process will be posted very soon.

This is a honest and transparent post for the delay. I don’t say anything about the sacrifices we make because that’s part of doing what we do. But this year it has felt like doing the right thing has tried to take us out but we don’t give up easy. We care too much for this community and the people in it!
