Your Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce was honored to be part of the RV Park groundbreaking ceremonies on Monday morning, June 1. This $1.8 million project, funded by an AMLER Grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will improve a blighted area of our city, creating camping, fishing, and tourism opportunities. The RV Park and Campground will be located next to Wellston‘s Outdoor Sports Complex just off Jeff Montgomery Way. We are excited to see this project happen!

The next general business meeting of the Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce is Monday, June 1st at 5:30 PM at the Thacker Building, 6 East Broadway Street in the second floor meeting room. This is the same building where the Masonic Lodge is located and is next to the former location of The Rusted Barn.

We are deeply saddened to hear that former Wellston Safety and Service Director Stacy Camp passed away this morning after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.

Stacy dedicated his life to serving others—first as a United States Marine, and later through his leadership and commitment to our community.

His strength, integrity, and sense of duty left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to work alongside him. Stacy exemplified what it means to serve with honor, both in uniform and at home.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for his service and our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. His legacy of service, resilience, and commitment will not be forgotten.

“Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem.”

Stacy Camp was a good man in every respect and his service to the city of Wellston will never be forgotten.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The first public meeting of the Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce will take place at 5:30 pm on Monday May 5th at the Thacker Building, 6 East Broadway Street, in the 2nd floor meeting room. The Black Diamond Masonic Lodge is on the 3rd floor of the same building. Everyone is invited.
